So you’ve decided you want to refresh your website with a new design. It is looking tired and dated, and you’ve noticed that your main competitor has just launched a fresh new site that puts yours to shame.

Now you have two main options:

buy a theme or download one for free and update your site this way if you are using WordPress or a similar content management system (CMS);
outsource the design to a professional web designer.

Here are five reasons why outsourcing could be the best option for you.

1. Professional look and feel
Even though it has become easier to launch and run a website without any design knowledge, that doesn’t mean it is always the right thing to do. One of the main advantages about a CMS is that you can update it with ease by adding and editing content and features. But when it comes to the actual design, a professional will have a huge impact on the overall result.

Skilled website designers like ours at ngoutsource.com know what works for websites. They understand what looks good, where images should be placed, which fonts to use on each page. They optimise sites to perform better so that pages load quicker and the navigation is easier to follow.

That way you are not purely working on trial and error, and the end result is often superior compared to doing everything yourself.

2. Saves time
You can save a lot of time by outsourcing web design. Sometimes it looks easy to design a website, but it is a learning process if you have not done it before and it can take a lot of time and effort.

Even with a basic WordPress website, you can find that it takes a lot of time to get it right.
This may not be so bad when you have your website set up and you want to add a new plugin, but doing everything yourself from scratch can take a lot of time.

3. Boost conversions

There is so much that goes into a website to make it successful. While you may be able to create a website that looks beautiful by using a simple template, can you really create one from scratch that does exactly what you want it to do?

For example, professional web designers know how to design sites to get results. They may test your site as well to find out what is working and what is not.

Whether you want visitors to call you for a quote or buy a product directly from your website, a designer can help you to increase your conversions without as much trial and error.

4. Ensure everyone can view your site

A website that is viewable on mobile devices is so important these days. Many of your visitors will be using mobiles and tablets, and you will be losing business if they cannot view your website properly.

Often the best way to ensure everyone can view your site is to hire a professional with experience in responsive design. That way no matter who views your website and from what device, you know they are getting the full experience.

5. Improve engagement

You ideally want visitors to spend as long on your website as possible, and this is often more likely when your site has been designed by a professional.

A professional designer can ensure:

fast-loading pages;
intuitive navigation;
a better overall experience;
greater engagement.
These are all things that can help improve the user experience and encourage visitors to spend longer on your site.

Always consider outsourcing your web design

If you want to ensure you have a professional website that will make the right impression on visitors and increase the chance that they engage with your brand, outsourcing your web design is always worth considering.

Although it is possible to use free themes and change the design of your site on your own, a professional designer will help to give you the edge – which can be essential for your success in the competitive online environment.
