GamingUsing The Flashpoint Archive For Playing Old Browser-based Flash Games! by SynthNoise(op): 9:37pm On Dec 27, 2023
Just wanted to let people know about the Flashpoint Archive. It's a non-profit project that's archived like 200K browser games so far, and provides them in a program that fixes most of the compatibility issues that would usually happen if you tried to play Flash games in 2023 (and Shockwave, Java, etc. games).

They're always on the lookout to find any lost games also, for anyone that might have copies of old browser games laying around on their PCs. Their website is https://flashpointarchive.org/ if you want to try it out. They have a link to their Discord on there as well if you're interested in helping find and add old games. Translating the game launcher into Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, or really any other languages is also a goal of theirs, if any bilingual people are interested.

It'd be especially nice to find some of old Nigerian Flash games to add to it, since those games aren't well represented in their collections so far. undecided

(Hopefully not breaking the advert rule, since this is just a non-profit game hub that you don't have to (and can't, lol) pay for, and there's no affiliate links or anything. Just hoping we can archive some Nigerian games and get some better preservation for Nigerian internet history.)
