Good day my brother a d thanks for your reply. I have done a lot of searching and asking for advice i think i will buy the tipper for sure either mack or man diesel. I will be buying tokunbo in lagos or cotonou. People i have asked around say these trucks are easily maintain in our great nation. My only fear that is left is: I see so many tipper in lagos and abuja. I hope the markia not saturated. In abuja last week between wuse 2 and airport i count 45 tippers. Plz let me know what you think. Up Nigeria. !!! ![]() |
Good day my fellow hard working Nigerian and Nairalanders. I have an American flatbed that i use to carry a compressor for my borehole business. But anyone that knows about the borehole business know that the Indians have come and changed the entire profitability of the business. So i decided to get out of the business. Just by total luck and went to Lagos and meet with a friend who said he can get me flatbed work. I dismounted the compressor and gave him the flatbed. The truck has been working with a Chinese company now since April 2015 doing well and I am getting paid about N375,000 a month. They fuel it. maintain it and use there own drivers. The truck carries finished products from there factory in Ijebu to a warehouse in Ibafo. The same company said if I have another flatbed or a 30ton tipper they can take it off me. Now I have 2 question, 1) Should I get another International truck that is not common in Nigeria but I can maintain it by getting my parts directly from Canada because I schooled there. Or get a truck that is more common in Nigeria like Mack or daf...Mind you international are one of the cheapest truck manufacturers in the world with reasonable quality. ?? I donno wat to do. 2) should I get another flatbed or a tipper. The company can pay me 375k/month for the tipper and 500k/month for the tipper. Mind you the tipper is more expensive too. Please advice. Note I import all my machines myself. I don't by Nigeria use because you are flushing you mony down the toilet and I don't by tokunbo because it too expensive. Any advice will be nice.

Good day Omolayo. I was wondering if you have any experience and advise you can give me on a Schwing Concrete pump truck. Do you think its a good machine to bring into the country? An engineer that I work with In Abuja said its a good lucrative machine to have. He claims they go for about N130,000 per day in Abuja. I will like to have your opinion before I go ahead and try to bring one in. The concrete pump trucj is used mainly for getting poured concrete to high elevations, like story buildings and posts for bridges ETC. Thanks for you time. Tayo

Good day, Please how much is the Cat D6c going for??, what year is it and how many hours has it done thx |
@Omolayo, Good day Omolayo, Thanks so much for education us so much on this business. I have read all 6 pages so far and I am really enjoying it. I am really impressed by your detailed knowledge of this business. You seem like someone I want to work with. I am a construction engineer or builder. I moved back to Abuja after living in Canada for about 15 years. I am really interested in this business and I am a serious investor. I have been going around asking people who are in the business here in Abuja for advice on what kind of machines to buy, how to maintain them and how to go about running the business and so on. Alot of the things you have said on the topic have been verified as correct from the various people I have asked in the business. My question is, Since you are based in Lagos and I am based in Abuja, can we still work together? Do you have partners that can work with me here in Abuja? I am talking to several dealers in the U.S now that I want to buy the machines from, If i send you the pictures and history of the machines, Can you advice me? I can probably afford to buy 2 to start with a budget on $30k per machine, which ones should I go for first? dozer, excavators motor grader, payloader or compactor? I know u recommended some particular specs of machine for the north but which machine is in highest demand.? Also should I buy 2 machines or 1 machine and a lowbed transport instead? Should I start with just 1 first giving that I am new to the business? I already have a borehole rig capable of 400ft/122m in Lagos Tin and Can island now, It is gonna clear soon, Can you give me any advice on that.? and if you want you can send me your personal e-mail addy so we can talk easier. Again thank you for this blog/topic. Its really kind of you to give us all this info for free. |
Good day kay. I am looking to do 2 borehole for a family home in Abuja and one in the village close to . I noticed you quated N10,000 per meter. My question is dine this include screening and casing or that price is just for digging the hole.?? |
