It will also indicate the name of who sent the money. That was why I suggested that he should have held on to the money till he has confirmed exactly who sent him the money.

names won't show many a times and the best to do is to call ones bank that the payment is erroneous and should be refunded. It takes 24hrs in most banks. I am refunding one with the said method currently as I type cos the name of the trader is not same with the name in the sender account and I can't risk MITM on my acccount. He also gave me another account details to receive refund different from the sender and I declined

I'm not talking personal ish here (truth be told, i already have enough cachet not to really need escrow but just " PREFER" to do so when I'm dealing with someone for the very first 1 or 2x cos i don't have my no listed & would like the other person to feel comfortable...)... cos i get escrows like it's nothing... As for turning me down, you have genuine reasons which i totally get.... Time is one constraints as well..

It's other people's accounts as well... . They say "so so & so do not want to assist" & when you suggest getting another perosn , they may say "I'm not familiar with so so and so yet" which is understandable...

Escrow also has to do with existing "relationships", trust & confidence.... It's not easy to just invade someone's space to begin to make request/demand...... Also Someone can't have 5,000 btc for sale & confidently holla @ a 200$ trader cos s/he is willing & present ... A saying in my place goes " He who wants to dress you, check out his own adornments first"

I repeat, devil can use people...

Escrows are BUSY for real....I have done a few for people on the low , so i know ... You may not be aware...

I really hate to do this but potential escrows decline A LOT on the grounds of "limits" .... Too many instances!!!

.... Since it's a favor i refrain from asking, "what about asking to pay it into another of said reputable person's account & adding 105-200 transfer charges but since no one is beholden to no one, i dey kip kwayet & keep it moving...

....& truth be told, not all escrow serve the purpose all the time, Money dey carry spirit, make we nor lie to ourselves, someone can't be advertising 100- 300 Btc or paypal for sale & one will be comfortable to ask the person to keep several 00s before devil speak something inside hin ear......

You are right to a great extent @ busy ESCROW even I have turned you down several time as well. But here is the thing. I will give list of some people I have noticed them doing escrow and things have been smooth so far. If we keep trying ladyf, justi, singapore and tabbaz alone, we may not apprciate the other good guys here and the top names will always get busy with activities. Here are the names I have observed recently and i believe one of them will be available at a time we need escrow

BEFORE YOU TRADE WITH ANYONE THAT IS NOT ON YOUR PHONE

1. run a check on nairaland by searching the number, account name, and moniker
2. check the number on truecaller
3. check the number on google
4. check the number on facebook

BENEFIT OF THESE CHECKING

If he's a scammer and he's sending first to you, you will report to the house so that we return the fund to the MITM victim or to those he has sscammed in the past if he send from his own account

These scammers are very weak only if we utilize the available tools to conduct our business

What did you do to this scammers bro. they are always trying to impersonate you, I suggest we look into PGP mode of communication. You send a message and ask the Tabbaz imposter to [b]decode [/b]it. This is what is used on the dark web to Avoid this issues.

1). Quote me on the thread, asking me to confirm its me and wait for response before continuing the trade

2). Give me a code on whatsapp, asking me to quote you on this thread with that quote before continuing the trade, please wait for a response

3). Compare the phone number on my profile with the one that is being used to chat with u on whatsapp...if it's different, please ignore 1 and 2 and RUN!!!

4). I don't use SMS to pass across vouch or business deal or information. Only whatsapp and Nairaland forum space

5) I don't pick direct call on my business line because I am roaming.

The only thing i observe for now- You should reply with the reason y the buyer rated you negatively, not saying outstanding experience when the buyer rated you poor experience. The essence of seller reply is for him/her to cleanse him/herself in case buyer tried to bring him down.

Your reply could be e.g. The buyer did not ask for revision before placing bad review; The buyer did not give concise instructions etc base on your true experience with the buyer

I started my Fiverr journey in November, 2016. I remember when i first made acquaintance with Emmyk. He assured me there was nothing to be scared about. I wanted to go into Email Marketing but i love editing and editing would require i get a laptop. I saved, starved, borrowed and got my dell inspiron brand new for #135,000.
Its was so difficult for me that i had to recall my surviving days in school to keep up until i stabilize.

Emmyk thought me basically everything i know about Audio Editing. My job takes over 8hrs of my day and having to cope up with both (Freelancing and Production Supervisor) is God's doing.

Sales was slow. For nearly 3 weeks no one contacted me let alone giving me a job. I frequent Buyer Request page, kept applying until i got my first job.

To cut the story short, there has been ups and downs. I made level 1 in Jan, and less than 24hrs ago, i made Level 2 with a whooping 5***** rating. Its all God, hardwork and persistence.

You maybe discouraged to quit because you feel its a waste of time frequenting BR for weeks yet no contact let alone job. Please don't. Have your profile reviewed, ask for help, there are a lot lf awesome freelancers here who are willing to assist. Someday, you will share a better success story.

I want to also than the likes of Emmy k, Bea tzone, Ven zal, Tab baz, Ski kid, degree, hazz.anTazzan, Kaba.bs, and every other person who has contributed in one way or another. God bless you all. Really grateful.
