The 19hrs layover came with a hotel. tHIS WAS IN mARCH, 2025, but make sure there is no one with a shorter layover option when you are making you booking for the 19hr layover. Just an advice. lily156: Hello @SpiceQueen01 Were you given a hotel for the layover in Luanda. If not, how did you endure the 19hrs? I have a friend who is flying TAAG soon with a long layover in Luanda. |

Well in certain cases it is possible. It all depends on the switch you are considering. What you need to do is check the course or field you are considering and reach out to the department of choice. Check for the coordinator and secretary's email. Send a cold email stating who you are and the course of study you graduated from and then go ahead to ask them if you could be considered for so so course. It has worked. Try it too. Griot77: You are very correct ma, this is not far from the truth, my last application denial shocked me. All my documents were genuine, intact with correct POF plus I have been to Brazil and back before. Honestly, Nigerians need to stop overheating any Japa means, they need to take it easy with all this content creation. It's destroying everything for us, samething with UK and Canada. Once a Nigerian gets abroad they 90% of them On Camera and start content. It's good but too much is really bad. Secondly majority of those content creator are now using it as hustle. Birth/Citizenship tourism assistant for a fee. These embassies are seeing all these content and taking note to protect their system. It's really sad, that these behaviours are hindering many of us with genuine intentions. But it is what is. I said this before, they could be here on this platform. Every applicant is a potential fraud until proven not so. Hence, they would want to first see how much of truth is in your application by checking various platforms to see if there is any alignment between what your application says and what they could glean from various platforms. For example, the 'dont let your bump show' claim that is said here could be a reason the consulate delays VIVIS interviews. Just saying. Although, content creators have roles in assisting people but at the same time them too do. Imagine telling people how to seek asylum with your VIVIS. One even went ahead to telling people how you can do Oluwole of company invite. Just like you said, most of them creators are only using these too-easy-to-be-kind kind of information as baits to lure them into their dms because they give their attention for a fee. But I still keep telling people, you guys can do it yourself. Seek assistance and then add 2+2 to help you out. That was what I did. Thank you @Brasileira @omoekiti (did I get it). For instance, Argentina has now cancelled their free health care for tourists as citizens complained about the long wait they experience. I know Brazil wont want to do that. But then they would want to do everything so that such wont happen. |

Tuxpera: If you are not referring to anyone here, then don't make the comment on the thread, write it down in your personal diary at home. You gave a generalized response that correlates with the last two application update and another threadmate is gently calling your attention to it, rather than admit the obvious confusion you set or intend to set, you are hiding your head in the sand. If the applicant's proof of fund is right, legit documents with a clear purpose of visit, approval is certain and rarely does Brazil's admission come without scholarship. |

Guys, my simple truth is this, they seems to be suspecting birth tourism now for every VIVIS applicant. Hence, for tourism, you must be able to prove otherwise. I mean a vivid one. Also ensure that your admission is supported with a scholarship. I think its no longer enough to convince the consulate if you dont have a scholarship, except you show self or sibling/parent POF that is reasonable. Just thinking out loud. |

I am thinking rules are changing. I was informed they got a new Consular earlier this year. If you notice, some additions have been added to the application (new forms). someone also informed me that she was denied even though her POF look fine. |

At least I know this for family reunion that there is a form being filled now that the recipient will travel within 3 months of approving the visa. Plus mind you a new Consular just resumed office recently and things have really changed at the moment.
My response was based on the new form. |

I dont think that would be acceptable. I tried applying for my son's CPF before doing the online application to save time because we were waiting for his passport to be issued. They turned it down. But if you are talking about applying by next week or so, then that is fine cos in the first place, you are expected to pay for ahead of sending in your application. My opinion though. Griot77: Hello Guys, I see that visa application fees is now going to be in USD effective 1st June 2025. Is it possible to make payment for family tourist visa right now before we commence the application, to avoid the wahala of dollar payments. What do you think?
In addition to the above, I will like to kindly request that anyone who has applied for family reunion or tourist visa should help or chat me on the number in signature below. I will like to get help on step by step process to include my family in the application.
Thank you |

There isnt any penalty whatsoever cos of the omission. Once your documents are genuine they have no reason to deny you. They usually send emails and reminders if there is an omitted or expired document. A general info, what they check is the authenticity of both your documents and intention. Thats all. What they apply to either approve or deny is simple psychology. For example, someone that has been working for 10 years in a particular field is planning to go for MSc. in a totally different field will definitely raise a question cos they would want to know about the gap and the field swap. sadegivens0: Hello everyone,
Just recently, it appears that I submitted my visa application and documents without the manual visa application form and application receipts as instructed before I sent it to the Consular. Upon receiving my visa application and documents, the Consular Section then sent me an email that stating: Your visa application documents were received in our consulate without the mandatory manual visa application form. It is necessary that you fill out the manual visa application form herewith attached to this email for the continuation of your visa application processing.
Upon receiving that email from the Consular Section, I wasted no time to fill out the manual visa application form and I also include the application receipts as well. Afterward, I sent it through courier service again and it was received just yesterday.
So, my question is: will this oversight by failing to include manual visa application form or even more importantly my failure to include the application receipts will automatically means disadvantage of my application?
I will appreciate any suggestions or advice as at this stage. |

sadegivens0: I want to ask if anybody knows how to make complain against the Brazilian Consulate. Because keeping passport for over 6months for a visiting visa its not fair to us DIY. I wouldnt see the need. Although I had such plan but I advised myself against doing so. The fact is who will take the action to them if you make it? NIS abi NAPTIP abi Police force? You will be shocked to know that Brazilian consulate could be on this platform. The fact is every applicant is a liar or fraud until proven not so, hence they would want to look out for new clues that people are using for them. So thats why I shake my head for some Youtubers. Content is good and cool but no be every cloth fits the sunrays. |

The university websites are open try and ask them questions. To begin, google up the university and visit the department of interest. Search for their departmental emails through the 'contact u. icon and ask them any question you have. Start by introducing yourself, inform them of your interest then present what you think is the predicament, like in your case, ask them if they accept HND. Then try attaching your transcript. |

Well what I can say is they give attention to urgency. For example student, genuine conference and if you can easily prove to them that your tourist visa is genuine. One of the things I believe they look at is your travel experience and submitted documents. sadegivens0: TadeDetule, what could be the reason why the Brazilian consular takes that long to approved or deny visa? |

For student visa holders, are they allowed to book one-way flight ticket from Nigeria?? Or it must be a return ticket?? One way is allowed. |

Well TAAG has the shortest flight time since you just travel over the Atlantic unlike the others and most times the cheapest. They also give provisions for accommodation with long layovers. |

erico2k2: Hopefully someone would respond to you quick as I did not have to get a Visa to go Brazil as I bear a British passport. You get your protocol number after applying online. It comes with the printout after online application. I only used introduction letter I dont know about cover letter. I actually used the study route. Regarding signature, I guess it should be on the foot of the second page. I think the new online form is a bit different from the previous but I think it still has a space for signature on the second page |
