Education / COMPUTERISED STUDENT RESULT SYSTEM For Secondary And Primary Schools by Tamorion: 10:15am On Oct 31, 2015
If you own or administer a private school and are still manually computing and compiling academic results using carbonized paper and pen, you may need to consider a computer based application system to handle this process more efficiently.

This computerized result system will handle the entry, computation, and printing of your school's results. It shall be designed according to your specifications and requirements at affordable price.

Even if your school's population is below 200 students, you can still afford this alternative solution. It's cheap and easy to use.

CALL ME@0806 812 5034 let's discuss your need and specific requirements

Music/Radio / Re: Sulu (BBA) – Ruby Ft. Salma by Tamorion: 10:11am On Aug 26, 2013
The funny part is that, the Ruby house mates were reluctant to learn the song when Sulu introduced it as HOH. I couldn't help screaming "Sulu" in front of the TV last night.

Programming / Re: How You Should Respond To Questions In Programming Threads by Tamorion: 12:47am On Jan 27, 2013
Javanian: Please what motivated you to create this thread?? Any examples of threads with bad replies??
I cannot begin to cite scenerios, but I observed that many a time people just get distracted by what level of grammar makes a question. This often result to insults and use of strong language, sometimes you end up having different topics creeping in, leaving the inquirrer more confuse. I have only seen this in Nigerian Fora. Elsewhere, people go the next league to help a fellow, especially Newbies. I thought we could do same here.
Programming / How You Should Respond To Questions In Programming Threads by Tamorion: 8:18am On Jan 26, 2013
When answering a question please:
1. Read the question carefully.
2. Understand that English isn't everyone's first language so be lenient of bad spelling and grammar.
3. If a question is poorly phrased then either ask for clarification, ignore it, or edit the question and fix the problem.
Insults are not welcome. Let's work to help developers, not make them feel stupid.

Programming / Re: Problem Connecting Visual Basic 08 With Access by Tamorion: 2:24pm On Jan 07, 2013
I don't think you have any problems with ur ConnectionString. The bug is the file u are connecting to (the protected Access file). The logic is: when u want to open the file outside ur application, u would normally supply a password. Now u did nt make any provition for that on ur application. I'm nt Advanced in VB.net, but my solution is: disable the password from the Access file. There may b other route to this witout disabling the password but i think u would be fine doing so. I am goin 2 try my hand on it and wil keep u posted if i hav any breakthrough witout disabling the password. Cheers!
Software/Programmer Market / Programming In Lagos Vs Port Harcourt by Tamorion: 11:49am On Jan 07, 2013
Hi Everyone,
I NEED HELP!
I have a National Diploma in Computer Science and I love Programming as well as Web Development ( especially scripting). I graduated in 2011 with an Upper Credit. In an effort to satisfy my hunger for writing codes, I have learned a few technologies ( VB.NET, JAVA, HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL, WORDPRESS etc.) I don't know what is good enough to be rated intermediate, but I derive much satisfaction from using VB.NET 2008/2010. I started with VB6.0 in school, but have transferred and added more skills using .NET.
I have undertaken quite a number of projects, most of them are student's final project implementation at different levels and fields. The most recent was a Maintenance Mgt System for a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering.
I don't have any industrial experience in programming. During my IT with Chevron I only have to do IT Support, PC Maintanance and Network Truobleshooting.

My Problem Definition:

There seem to be a cluster of programmers in LAGOS than there are in Port Harcourt or any part of the country. I need help looking for a place preferrably Port Harcourt), where I can attach myself as an intern to learn programming or web Design or both. Even if I don't have to be paid.

I wish to further my studies in the future or atleast get a certificate course oversea. I don't have knack for Degrees, otherwise, I would have returned for HND or get a DE. Industry and Job-ready skills are my core drives.

PLEASE! PLEASE!!
furnish me with any helpful information either on this thread or to tommyriode@gmail.com Cheers!

Hi Friends,

My name is Thompson and I want to help you make a difference in your financial
life within a few days from now. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU

Making money is the easiest thing on earth; discovering what makes money is what
I find difficult.Do NOT doubt just because I am not able to polish the story like
what you are used to in money making forums. Believe me, I have tried them, I got
my fingers burnt.
THIS IS NOT ANY MONEY MAKING SCHEME; THIS IS REAL WEB DESIGN JOB FOR YOU
It's so easy and simple. This will work for you even if you don't have

What you need:
1. Computer (Laptop or PC)

3. Ability to us Google
4. How to install Wordpress

Don't worry if you don't know anything about Wordpress. It's just a name,
using Wordpress is as simple as breathing.
Let me introduce you to a simple method that allows you to decide how much
you want to make. I am giving you a blank cheque already signed, to write
how much you want. There are a lot of things I could not image will happen to me.
But this simple method has made me N2.4M for my Software Development Certificate
program in Canada in less than 6 months.

Programming / Re: Abeg O,help Me With Dis VB.NET Code by Tamorion: 2:54pm On Oct 20, 2012
Lakulos: I trying to write a program on a simple calculator using visual studio 2008,i want the user to be able to enter values in 2 textboxes and submit the result to a third textbox,the problem am encountering is that the program is not bringing out error and it is not also it is not calculating anything. This is my code.

Dim num1 as integer
Dim num2 as integer
Dim ans as integer
num1=val(textbox1.text)
num2=val(textbox2.text)
ans=val(textbox3.text)
ans=num1+num2.
Thanks.
I think Mkwayisi has answered your question but just want to chip in a little.
The variable 'ans' has your value in memory but you have not asked your application to display the result.
You can do this a variety of ways including mkwayisi's suggestion (textbox3.text = ans). e.g

textbox3.text = val(textbox1.text) + val(textbox2.text) just to miniaturize your code. But this is sure NOT the best way to do it.
Webmasters / Re: Welcome To Nairaland Bloggers Family. by Tamorion: 11:19am On Oct 03, 2012
Hi Jide,
I have been trying to reach you, then I found this post. I started a new blog 2 weeks ago to help me promote my CPA offers from Peerfly, Clickbank and Maxbounty affiliate networks. My greatest challenge is how to get US traffic to my blog, since these offers are not meant for local consumption. I have seen you to be a very successful blogger, and Nigerian are proud of you. I was shocked to know the worth of your blog (I will just keep it for privacy reasons). The world ranking and traffic is amazing!
This is the url of my simple blog: http://www.tweekyblog.com and much work is still going on. It is easier to learn from the professionals like you than to test every system and software whether it works. I don't know if you can grant me personal audience, maybe respond to this post through my email address: dubec112@gmail.com.

Regards,

Na your loyal subscriber and follower.

I don't really know what most of you call a good design. But from all the websites you guys are bragging with (from www.uruan4u.com to http://www.antigravityinc.com) here, all of them - I mean every website link that has been posted on this thread is a MESS. You guys should focus your efforts on development rather than rant about some websites that can never win award. I cannot accept any of these designs from my 1 month trainees. So all of you QUIET!

You will do alot of good if you give a simple discription of what features the site requires. Is it dynamic or static? database driven? just something!
