Google Pixel 7 Pro powered by the second-generation Tensor G2 SoC was unveiled last week. Now, the latest premium smartphone by Google has surpassed the iPhone 14 Pro and become the top smartphone in the DxOMark camera rankings. The Google Pixel 7 Pro has scored 147 points overall. It has a triple rear camera setup at the back including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The Google Pixel 7 Pro has achieved 148 points in the photo test and 143 points in the Zoom test. The iPhone 14 Pro has 146 points on DxOMark, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max has 149 points.
DxOMark has publisheda detailed camera review of the new Google Pixel 7 Pro. The Google smartphone has received an overall camera ranking of 147 on the benchmarks. This is higher than the 146 points received by the iPhone 14 Pro. The Pixel 7 series phone with Honor Magic 4 Ultimatenow tops the list of top camera smartphones on DxOMark. They are followed by iPhone 14 Pro, Huawei P50 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro in the third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively.
The Google Pixel 7 Pro got 148 points for its still photography, 143 for zoom, and 143 for video. The phone scored 70 in Bokeh and 74 in preview. The latest handset seems to stand out in taking photos and videos with consistent results in all conditions. The DxOMark team has provided a few comparison shots to give a glimpse at the onboard advancements.
The DxOMark reviewers have given 109 points for the telephoto capabilities and 111 points for the wideness on the ultra-wide camera found on Google Pixel 7 Pro.
It got 113 points for exposure and 119 for colours in the photo. DxOMark notes that the handset offers good detail at all zoom ranges, from ultra-wide to long-range tele. Good contrast backlit portrait scenes, and fast and accurate autofocus in photos and video are the major improvements observed by the benchmarking website. Video recording on the Pixel 7 Pro has also improved and the phone got 106 points for exposure and 110 points for colours. Its 143 points for video recording performance is a little behind the closest competitor, iPhone 14 Pro, which was awarded 149 points by DxOMark. Meanwhile, the Honor Magic 4 Ultimate however scored 137 points.
DxOMark says the camera of Pixel 7 Pro shows shadow noise in high-contrast and low light scenes. Colour casts in indoor video footage and some loss of detail, and image noise at close-range zoom close-up shots are the other drawbacks noted by the website. The Google Pixel 7 Pro was launched last week with a price tag of $899 for the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage model. It comes in Hazel, Obsidian, and Snow colours and features a 6.7-inch Quad-HD (3,120 x 1,440 pixels) LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an octa-core Tensor G2 SoC along with 12GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.

When it comes to gaming it all comes down to the phone's processor(cpu and gpu) whether it is capable of running games at 120fps or not. If it can, then the 120hz refresh rate will be useful for gaming. Graphics demanding Games like call of duty, genshin impact, and asphalt 9 can be played on flagship phones at 120 fps when it is on a low or medium setting but when high or ultra setting even flagship phones like iphone 13 pro and samsung galaxy s22 ultra (both comes with adaptive refresh rate 10-120hz) struggle with 70 fps.

you're right. When the first Pixel came out it beats the iPhone 7 and Galaxy s7 in term of camera. And pixel 3 introduce night mode before any other phone. The pixel 6 introduce magic eraser which erases an object or someone from the background of your picture. In term of computational photography it to google. What i do want them to improve on is their camera hardware which have start to improve from 12 mp main camera (in the first pixel to pixel 5) to 50mp (in the pixel 6 and 7), and also improve on their processors speed and efficiency. Just wish that google processors were manufactured by TSMC (that also manufacture apple processor, mediatek processor and qualcomm snapdragon 8 plus gen 1 processor). But there processor are being manufacture by Samsung (which is less efficifent and not as advance as TSMC).

Both phones uses the same processor. The differences is that pixel 4xl offers night mode photography while the s10 plus does not, better picture quality (which rivals the iphone 11 pro max) than the s10 plus, does not have ultrawide camera while s10 plus have it. The s10 plus was released on february/march 2019 with android 9 one ui 1 and can be updated to android 12 one ui 4, while the pixel 4xl was released on august 2019 with android 10 and can be updated to android 13. The Pixel 4xl is a better choice.

maybe the reason why you can't see it in play store is because your phone Cpu(exynos 850) and Gpu Can't handle the game and the playstore can't let you download it because your phone can't handle it, if it does let you download it then it will make your lag and overheat and drain, crash and the battery drain at a faster rate and can slowly damage the phone. Like I said Genshin Impact is graphically intensive and you need a phone with a powerful cpu and gpu with enough ram(minimum 4gb ram recommended 8gb ram). And diablo immortal is a new game which was released this year, so it is also graphically intensive. The Samsung S22 Ultra had the best edge detection algorithm that dwarfed that of the iPhone 13 Pro Max and produced better portraits. iPhone 13 Pro Max mainly wins in the video recording department. The warmer tone on the iPhone 13 Pro Max pictures does not make any better than the images from the Samsung.

you're right in the AI Stereo Depth Map feature on the s22 Ultra dwarfing the iphone 13 pro in term of seperating the subject from the environment in potrait. But the iphone makes the subject brighter and crisper than the s22 ultra. And i don't know whether you understand what i meant about the warmer tone. I said it produce warmer tone, it is based on your preference whether you want your image to have a warmer(natural) tone or a cooler(vivid) tone in the s22 ultra, the 13 pro comes with both option and it doesn't oversaturate like the s22 ultra.

This why I hate this DxOMark rating. Take this to the bank, the Samsung S22 Ultra is a better camera phone than the iPhone 13 Pro Max while the iPhone 14 Pro Max has better camera quality than every phone on the planet right now.

S22 Ultra is better than iphone 13 pro in term of zoom (since it comes with 10X Periscope zoom and 100X Digital zoom) and night photography (since it comes with 108mp camera with 12 in 1 pixel binning to produce a 12mp photo in lowlight). While the 13 pro max is better than the s22 ultra in videography(since it has better hardware-software synergy, better video stabilization, and better lowlight videography) and better picture quality(it produces warmer tone, doesn't oversaturate picture like s22 ultra, and picture looks more natural than s22 ultra), better potrait)

DxOMark has just released its camera assessment of the iPhone 14 Pro, in which the group praises its upgraded shooters' color reproduction, auto-focus, dynamic range and detail highly. Nevertheless, the new Apple flagship has not managed to knock the Honor Magic4 Ultimate Edition off its top spot in the rankings, even though it is now #1 in terms of selfie-camera performance.
DxOMark's camera test results for the iPhone 14 Pro are out, thus giving a potential insight as to how its new 48MPmain shooter does against its forebear in the 13 Proseries. The new flagship (which also represents its Pro Max sibling as they have the same specs in this regard) came in for largely positive feedback for many of its updated features, its color (skin tone reproduction included); zoom capabilities; detail; auto-focus and bokeh effects included.
The iPhone 14 Pro was also awarded a new top score in terms of stabilization, thereby hinting that DxOMark might not have been on TikTok with the phone - or completed the testing with the latest software: iOS 16.0.2 is rated to fix the new high-end unit's issues on third-party apps.
