They are simply converting it to Naira for her, now add it shipping fee. That lady is big. She would be at least 100kg after embalming. All the extra load that cannot be carried would be moved using another airline and that airline had to be paid. If not same day, people would be inconvenienced and compensated.

It takes plenty logistics to ship a corpse.
Everything would be done in foreign standard and paid in FX. A funeral home has to handle all of this.

Even to ship foodstuff from Nigeria abroad costs a lot. Let alone human body.

All those owners of luxurious buses should gather and fix the roads. When cars did not reach my rental building, I fixed it cos I know I need to rent the place. If your buses are stuck and you are losing money, why cant you do simple palliatives and fix those portions...these are not collapsed bridges or flyovers for Christ sake. Because it takes a lot of specialized care, packaging and clearing to ship a corpse. I saw the video of one and it was put in the same place your boxes go into. Nothing was put on top or around it. All of this creates loss as the airline has to make arrangements to convey extra passenger cargo to give way for that corpse. When it lands, another wahala.

Yearssss ago when my uncle died, my dad didn't see his corpse because the cost of bringing him home was a lot. He had to be buried there. We just found Igbo village association in that country to attend on our behalf and send pictures. He wasn't attending Igbo meetings or paying dues, else they would have covered the cost.
