Marriage is not going extinct, especially in Nigeria where it’s still seen as very important. But the things that used to keep marriages strong in the past don’t really work the same way today.

Before, many women were expected to get married by a certain age, even if it meant putting their career dreams aside. Men were mostly seen as the providers. Now, women want both a good career and a happy marriage. They are not choosing one over the other. Because of this change, marriage today feels more complicated, but it’s not disappearing.

It's just that the old way of thinking about marriage doesn’t fit our generation anymore. Kapish

My main reason for creating this thread is because during the last election I supported tinubu n one of my guy supported obi.

The guy has been my friend for over 23 years n we both know much about ourselves down to family line.

One day we were arguing about politics n he said some shits to me cos I said I will vote tinubu, I just told him point blank that as from today henceforth we should never talk politics with me again that any day anytime he talks politics with me it will lead to serious quarrel.

Since then It affected our relationship that my wife asked what happened n I lied we are both busy, fast forward to last week he called me for an urgent need of 400k, Omo onile wanted to collect his land that he has invested huge money on n he was stranded.

I sent d money but since then I just Dey reason am, I didn't tell anyone aside d fact that I am dropping it here but I keep asking myself

Y didn't he call obi since he posted it on his WhatsApp that "Anyone who votes Tinubu should avoid me forever".


The basis is that don't burn bridges because of politicians, it's people around u that will help u when problem arise, I can bet obi doesn't know him n doesn't even care but people around u will b dere for u


If u cut them off cos of politicians u can't run to those politicians when u need help d most.

Lol. I knew you supported Tinubu and someone cut you off. Do not take it personally. We are allowed to have principles. Right or wrong. If Obi joins another unknown political party tomorrow, he would still have my support but if he joins SDP or APC, would be the last day I stop supporting his ambition. It is all about principles.

I just decided to bring this here so some kids who started following politics in 2023 can have a rethink n understand that obi won't come n help them when they need d help d most

But d neighbors they cut ties with, the family they don't talk to, the business partners they thrashed cos of political differences will b d one to come to their rescue.

N besides that I can't imagine how they will feel one day if they wake up n read the news that obi have moved to APC.

How will they face those people they insulted cos of obi.

Why don't you just reach out to the person you cut ties with. I do not regret cutting ties with Hammed in Feb, 2023. I have not spoken to him since then and do not miss him. I only remembered him because of this thread. People are allowed to have principles. My principle might be morally corrupted or right but it is mine.

I think Tunde Onakoya should focus more on being the first grandmaster in Nigeria. Tunde is not actually the best chess player in Lagos, let alone Nigeria. Africa has less than 32 chess grandmasters but russia alone has 101 grandmasters. If you play chess regularly, you will understand how important titles are.

It would take me ten years of focus on standard chess to attempt competiting at magnus carlsen's level but I can confidently say that there is no player in Africa that is better than me at Antichess.


Edit: Russia actually has 256 grandmasters and USA has 101.
