Politics / Re: Rufai Oseni's 8 Questions About The Coastal Road Project. by Tareq1105: 3:07pm
emkz:
Rufai claims there were 57 active businesses that were impacted. Since he is now the mouthpiece of those businesses, can he list them?

As far as September 2023, talks began with HiTech on the project, where was Rufai Oseni? Why didn't he raise the alarm then, WHY NOW?

While raising the question about Landmark properties and alignment, Rufai Oseni refused to admit whether Landmark violated the right of way. He also did not state whether Landmark illegally utilized the asset in question. He also did not address the fact that only a marginal portion of Landmark was affected.

When the initial propaganda failed, they shifted to EIA and EISA. The Ministry of Environment already said they issued a waiver. But Rufai Oseni, who requested access to the audited books of someone's private enterprise, is not satisfied.

He also claims the owner of HiTech is Tinubu's personal friend. Does he want us to discuss his boss' personal friends and associates? Did they not give media protection to Emefiele, Okowa, PDP and Atiku? If they didn't, why were they hell bent on humiliating Tinubu with their boss even writing to accuse Tinubu of Noriega moment. If there was no personal or business interest for them, why did they take it so personal?

Then they accused the minister of staying in Eko Hotel and Suites; what has that got to do with anything?

On the surface, Rufai Oseni and Arise News have serious questions; but the questions are not balanced, because they have not asked Landmark questions. They have clearly taken a side and they are fighting for either personal or business interests. Yesterday, it became clear when they interviewed a former Commissioner of Police. The conversation was accusatory and not intermediatory. Answers provided by the government are never acceptable to them, but they believe everything the Landmark CEO says.

Rufai Oseni, you claim to fact check everything. Please fact-check whether Landmark rightfully owned that land and whether he was cleared to build there.

One more point to make: you claim there was no stakeholder engagement before demolition. David Umahi sat down in your studio to say that he met with the CEO of Landmark and that they adjusted their plans to spare his properties. You also asked why properties not previously marked for demolition and outside the right
of way were demolished. As a journalist, you ought to be aware that notices of demolition were sent to all affected parties and they complied.

How come only Landmark is complaining?

What is Arise News/Rufai Oseni's personal/business interest here?

PS: When a former editor and a firmer executive director of PUNCH newspapers had a fight over one of them allegedly collecting millions of naira from corrupt politicians and businessmen to give them positive press coverage and kill negative stories, both of them were forced out of the media house. It became clear that some journalists used the media to promote personal and business interests. So if you see any media house seemingly pursuing or protecting someone's business interest, even at the expense of the public good, money is involved.

How come Channels TV, NTA, TVC or AIT are not fighting or protecting any interests? Why certain journalists from certain media houses?

Rufai Oseni asked to see the acvohnt statements of someone's private business. Can Rufai Oseni publish his own accpunt statements so we are convinced he did not receive a PR contract to use his platform to demarket the coastal road project

Anytime you hear Rufai Oseni (LP) and his PDP brother/ senior colleague Reuben Abati hammering on a particular issue just press another station.

Anything that would make Nigeria collapse and go in flames is what excite them.

Look at all the questions he listed. He's questioning govt, telling Tinubu how to run govt. Is Tinubu his father's mate? Omo ale jati jati. He talks to guests anyhow and obidients would be hailing him.

Imagine during the Presidential Tribunal Rufai turned All Eyes on Judiciary to a song in the studio.

Is that part of the ethical behavior of a journalist?

This government is not even serious. Why are you responding to nonentities like Peter Obi and his gang of online bandits?

EIA is now their problem. 99% of them haven’t even seen what EIA look like or heard about it before. But someone just open their brain and put nonsense there and they started shouting EIA.

So where is them asking for EIA for Lagos-Ibadan, second Niger bridge, every other roads constructed and etc.

From Landmark, now it’s EIA, tomorrow it will be PIB, then next tomorrow CNN.

It's bcoz the Lagos - Calabar coastal highway is not passing through Agulu.

The street in picture s named after a Yoruba man in Anambra state. As a Yoruba boy, I laugh when some tribal dumbos say that the Igbos hate Yoruba .

CP adeoye worked in Anambra and I watched him on Arise TV this morning speaks so passionately about Anambra and how the good people of Anambra showered him love and respect all through the period he worked in the state as police CP.

God bless Anambra state always

God bless the whole south east states

God bless the federal republic of Nigeria

God bless my brother and friend from another mother , his Excellency Mr Peter Obi.

Ahh! LagosFirstSon, at what point did you become a Yoruba man? Omo nna answer me. Remember me and you had dragged ourselves before bcoz of your failed project, Obi. The records of all the curses and insults you reign on Yorubas are still there. So when did you now become Yorubas? Be proud of your tribe and remain on your lane. I see reason why you guys will remain poor both mentally and physically. Somone wanted to waste all Ur resources available on white elephant project you are hailing him, very soon u will start shouting Nigeria is bad, are u not of the bad egg supporting thieves and hailing them while they stole your life inheritance and birth right.
How on earth is such project has good impact to the situation of Nigeria.
Besides all Nigerians knows Nigerian politicians who won't complete 70 kilometres road in years, u know tinubu will never complete such project.
You fail to realise they are carving another means of stealing money. Why not that 1 trillion on power. Those are the capital project that can move Nigeria forward. Power is the mainstream of economic development. The Lagos ore road is not congested and where there is, it's lack of maintenance and poor state .Many ss fg road are in poor state.
But majority of u are here on niaraland playing tribalism and favouritism with your destiny.
But u will goto church praying that it's one witch or wizard in Ur family.
The problem of Nigeria is that they don't know what policy and it's implications all about despite they are suffering from the consequences.
We choose to be happy with people oppressing us.
Bible says pray for Jerusalem, those who love her will prosper. The question how many of u actually love Ur country. Every of Ur action shows u hate Nigeria and u are shouting ur living a miserable life.

My question to you is who determines priority projects?

Is it Tinubu or Obi/Obidients?

Is it Obi that would teach or force on Tinubu what to do?

Why is Obi in pain over the project?

Are the people on the Coastal road not Nigerians? Are they not entitled to government presence in their communities?

I know Obi doesn't want Tinubu to succeed and secondly bcoz the road is not passing through Agulu.

Obi doesn't have sense, he's visionless, he can't see beyond today, and as such he can't be more visionary than a Lagos State local government Chairman if he's a Lagosian.

The truth is that the project isn't a priority, but watch Tinubu miscreants invade this thread like hordes of cows invading a farmland to vent their anger and frustrations on a man who has no hand in their present predicament.

What's the definition of priority? Who determines what the priority is? Is it the president or a critic loser? What I see as a priority may not be to you. So, it's relative depending on where you stand. It's not the right of a loser to tell the president what is the priority and what is not. Far from it. I don't know why Obi is so pained over the project. Obi should wait till when he's elected then he can cancel it. The south south people like Baba Edwin Clark are happy, Donald Duke is happy and other groups and communities along the coastal highway are happy but Obi is brutal and pained by this developmental projects. Tinubu has 4 yrs mandate to develop Nigeria and I think Obi should allow him to work. One can now see why Obi saved #75b in his Fidelity Bank for the next elected gov instead of applying the money on infrastructure. People perish for lack of vision. Obi lack vision, he cannot see beyond his nose. Tinubu is seeing a profitable highway in the next 15 years. A road that would trigger development along the coastal areas and boost economic prosperity of those Nigerians on that corridor. Obi and obidients would never see anything bcoz they lack vision. 15 to 20 years from now, you would thank Tinubu.

How does refusal of investors to come affect Tinubu personally?

It's disheartening, insensitive and demoralising in the face of the current hardship being experienced in the country. The Nigerian worker deserves more, subsidy on fuel and electricity has been removed and you add what cannot cover for the consequences in increase in cost of transport and payment of electricity.

This is not the New Wage we're talking about. This is salary increase. The new minimum wage negotiation is still ongoing. NWC is not to force wages on workers. Wage is negotiated and it's effective from 1st April and not 1st January.

What we should address is Pay As You Watch. DStv should be able to sell in hours. It's possible.

If I know I would be traveling this weekend, I should be able to buy 48 hours.

Even if I didn't finish the 48 hours before I travel probably bcoz of power outages, I should come back to meet the remaining hours.

Thanks for educating him. To him, it's an achievement for not borrowing. What a kid they have as Gov.
SoNature:

It's not confusion; people understand and approach governance differently. Any governor who doesn't make the kind of money Lagos makes or receive the kind of federal allocation like Akwa Ibom and still doesn't borrow money probably doesn't know what they are doing.

Nigeria is a developing country and there's nothing wrong with borrowing and investing the money in critical areas that will yield more money for the state.

How about borrowing to start a massive PPP cocoa plantation or other cash crops that will help Osun become a major exporter of cocoa in Nigeria? The governor can also set up a company that will be processing the cocoa.

How about building power projects that will target certain industries and estates in Osun State? They will be cut off from the national grid and the power station will supply them power and the consumers pay their bills to the supplier directly.

There are lots of things governors can borrow money for. The IGR and federal allocation will be used for paying salaries, empowering the citizens and fixing infrastructure across the state, while the borrowed money will be invested in ventures that will only yield more money for the state. Many people just join politics to answer governor and not necessarily to make a major impact.

Adeleke, there's nothing wrong in taking loans for developmental projects. You cannot use your allocation and igr to develop the state, you need soft loans that would generate income.

Wise up and be a Gov that you're.
