please , advice and suggest solution : Should I drop out of school and work .At the age of 22years , it seems life is unfair to me . I’m a 300 level student of Federal university ,studying engineering .I am the first born of my family and first son. I lost my father when I got admitted into the university left with my mother and five siblings , one of which has a minor mental disorder and this has caused my mother a great pain because she can’t hustle much not to abandon him and the rest of my siblings . She has to move from the city to the village to take care of them believing life over there is a less stressful unlike the city .
I have been trying to keep track on my dream after the death of my father but life seem so mean and unfair to me and my family . I’m hardworking young guy , always willing to work , learn and succeed .I have always try to work while am in school all these prove abortive due to the fact that I schooled in the north and find it hard to find work to do , especially the region where our campus is located is so local.
I do teach in a primary school where I was teaching before I got admission back then in 2018 whenever I am back to Lagos for holiday , my boss accept me back to come and teach .The money I earn isn’t enough to cater for my schooling not to talk of taking care of my siblings .
I love teaching especially Mathematics , Further Mathematics , Chemistry and Physics .I am really obsessed with numbers .I have basic knowledge of some programming language C ,C++ ,Python and R .
Presently , I am so much confuse that I think dropping out of school is the best so as to take up the responsibility of taking care and looking after my younger ones by getting a full time job which can sustain me and the family . However ,my inner instinct denies this as a best option to go for . Please I need your advice and assistance .
What should I do now ?
School is resuming this month for a new session <400 level> , I feel so confuse cause my rent has been due/expire since a year now and the school had increased the tuition fee from #30,000 to #40 ,000 .
No hope to raise all these debts of mine , what do I feed on when I return to school for the whole semester before My IT. Please I need sincere advice and assistance , May God help everyone one of us .
