@femmy2010 for your information as at October last year i brought in a Honda CRV 2003 model for N1, 250, 000 at that same cotonou. The way i operate may be different from yours.

Don’t let vehicles dealer rip you off. The secret they don’t want you to find out. Do you know that many dealers get their vehicles at Cotonou, yet they claim is being shipped from Canada, Germany, Japan etc. Do you know that you can get a write off N250, 000 – N300, 00 on a vehicle purchased from Cotonou. For example a 2003 CRV Honda goes for approximately N1, 500, 000 but in Cotonuo that same vehicle goes for N1, 200,000 – N1, 250,000. For security reason there is no need to carry cash along with you. Nigerian banks have their branches at the border, so you can easily deposit your money here in Nigeria and withdraw it over there and you can also covert it to either dollars or their local currency there.
