Goodmorning house. In the spirit of giving back to this lovely house this is my POE experience. Flew Ethiopian Airline to washington dulles on the 29th. Had 2 stops, Addis Ababa and dublin total duration was 22hrs(long but wonderful airline) Got to washington dulles and straight up through searches den immigration. Immigration was a breeze.

CBP: where are you going
Me: California for a conference
CBP: Do you have food?
Me: No.
CBP: welcome to America!!!.

Wow! I Was shocked,because the person in front of me(a white woman)was grilled hard with questions. I kept telling God to take control for me cos I nor wan hear say any kasala happen. And God did it. CBP didn't ask how much I had,didnt ask for documents to see hotel reservations or why my POE is washington, he just stamped me in 4 6months after my prints were taken . The airport wasn't busy when we came in and they were friendly. Thanks house for taking your time to give answers to all questions,it really helped.

Pls anyone know how I can get cheap flight to houston? All flights I'm seeing the prices are crazy o . Help me o

Some conferences allow you to pay on-site. Send a mail to the contact person on the conference site (there is almost always a contact email address) and explain. You may want to take a screenshot of the error message and attach it to the mail.

There is always a way.

I have secured my visa,I'm attending a conference and my organisation is responsible for my trip. the problem I have right now is that I can't pay for the conference as the paypal site on the conference website isn't opening, they are saying page does not exist. pls what do I do as I'm suppose to be travelling by the month end. I'm sure at the port of entry all doz details will be asked,payment, hotel reservations. also I have booked an hotel but haven't paid yet. pls what is the procedure.

How do you mean going online? Going as a family is good, how will you sponsor of trip? How much do you earn? earn? earn? Family you are going to visit citizens? U strong ties wat do u do? How much you earn

Was denied in 2013. Never applied again. Didn't have kids then. Now I do. Kindly advice which is easier, going as a family or going with the kids alone or even going online. If we are going as family , what ties would we need to prove?
We want to apply and spend Xmas with my husbands late brothers family.
Please I need serious answers.

The interview went like this.
VO: good morning good morning(she actually said it twice like a robot without a smile)
ME: good morning(with my forced smile and pounding heart)
VO: what are you going to do in the US?
Me: attending a conference(i gave her name of the conference and also place,address and date) mind you she didn't ask me all that but I just poured it to her.
VO: where do you work?
ME: bleep bleep( out of fear I even made a small mistake she didn't notice)
VO: What do you do in your organization?
ME: bleep bleep
VO: Are you married/do you have kids?
ME: Yes/2kids
VO: how old?
ME: bleep bleep
VO: Are your kids traveling with you?
ME: No they are not,i'm going alone for an official assignment.
VO: what do you say you are going to the US for again?
Me: bleep bleep
VO: are you going to the US for medical check up?
ME: No, i'm very fit,only going for my official assignment.
VO: your Visa have been approved(gives me a white paper. No document was checked at all) go there after three working days( I didn't hear all she said sha cos immediately my ear got blocked. Hahaahha) that's how my interview went,it's just God's extra ordinary grace and favour. He spoke for me. Then one funny thing I did when I stepped into the interview hall,i stylishly removed my shoe when I felt no one was looking and began to decree God's grace, dat since I have stepped foot here I will step foot into the main America. It worked! Thanks to all the gurus who have answered all our "mumu" questions and good questions, who have helped us thru our anxious state. Thanks so much. God bless you.

Goodevening house o.how una dey? So today morning (15th nov) was my interview in abuja. I entered the embassy after all the protocol and had my prints taken,i was on the line jisting hush hush with lady I met there that was when I discovered that a rain of "i'm sorry your visa is denied" was pouring heavily inside. Booth 6&7 were worse. People were just getting the yellow paper. I started praying not to b called into booth 7 or 6, tho oda booths were not giving also but when they deny u d loudspeakers didn't carry it loud enuf like 6&7 so I can just form even if I don't get. before I could say jack,d lady in front of me was called to booth 7,d VO(lady) didn't even waste time just handed her the yellow paper, I started sweating even with the AC on praying not to b called to 7 that was empty. She continued typing on her computer wasting time and I continued praying, As if God was answering my prayers she kept typing and other booths were still occupied. Next thing I heard "Booth 7 pls" to say my heart sank is an understatement. Immediately my palm and feet went cold. I walked to the booth heart pounding with a forced smile on my face and asking God silently why me !!! Transcript coming immediately.

There's a place there where you can crop your pic. Just crop it and it will fit

you need to skip it and take a passport photograph with you to the embassy (The specify size)

It happend to me too cos I used my email addy to apply for my mum,so when I wanted filling mine my mum's profile kept showing. What I did was to use my 2nd email address to secure an appointment. I hope this helps.

Good evening gurus. Please I need your help. I have once applied for a visiting visa with my mum before and we were denied. Now I am trying to apply for my self but but the website kept asking me to use my mum profile to schedule an appointment instead of my new profile. Please kindly help out

You don't have to pay for the conference. Just make sure you can talk about how it relates with your job/career. I know lots of people who have gone for interview without paying conference fee- myself included

Thanks so much, I just checked the refund policy only 50% of the cash will be refunded. Will an organization be willing to risk such in this recession? Yes truly payment shows strong intent but na risky business o.

No need to stress yourself.. you don't have to pay for the hotel but the conference is tricky because paying for the conference means a strong intention on your part.. Maybe you should pay for the conference and check the refund policy of the conference.

Goodmorning house, I believe you all had a lovely night. Bin a newbie who has interview nextweek na so I glue my eyes to this page o and i have learnt alot. went for alnight In church yesterday and during the special numba time one boy jst came out and started singing wit a bad voice,i just kuku bring out my phone begin read comments (inside church fa) .Now my people I saw that travel history seem to b a key factor in determining a visa issuance as also the strong tie back home I have only been to Israel(Jerusalem pilgrim) and to Ghana both sponsored by the govt and I am also married. Is It enough that I have visited just these two places?

That cannot be true that you did not see an answer.
The answer is that it is irrelevant if the conference is a paid one or not. What wull g'tee your visa is your home ties.
Transcripts have been shared of successful interviews. Some paid, some didn't. It dosent make any difference

Pls I am new here, guys help o. Interview is next week. Pls do I need to pay for the conference I want to attend before the interview? Pls good people reply me. My organization Is taking care of the trip but some one said I must pay first b4 interview. I have gone tru about 150pages but didn't see a answer
