@toy omg so sorry yes I am soo confused. Sorry anyway. |
See look at you all this time everyone has been asking you what is your genotype wilth no reply from you till now. Anyway, since you are AA and he is SS you two are fine !!!!! All your children will onle be trait carries and not have the disease. So go and make babies and be happy. Since you are AA now that we all know, go and be happy and stay with the person that you are with . There is nooooo problem ok? Hope this answers you question? Does it? Ok so go and get married if you aren't already , have babies and be merry!!! God bless!! |
Might I add nothing like this skips a generation. If it's in you gene and your DNA. It's in you, you have it point blank. You have genes that will also be passed on to your children. I'm SS its in my gene no way around that I have to be care in the partner that I choose. It's nit skipping my blood. |
Well see here is the thing after doing my nursing math your brother and his wife who are both AS have only a 25 percent chance of having a child who is SS. Only 25 percent prety slim chance. You on the other might have a 50 percent chance a little greater than your brother. For them they have a less likely chance. For you it either yes or no with your kids, just like it could be a baby boy or girl both are equally likely . We can always allow God to intervene. To God be the glory. |
I'm SS and also a nursing student. If the other partner is AA then great all your children will only carry the train and not have the full disease . This is not a problem. On the other hand, if the other partner is As or any genotype with s in it then yes there will be a very good chance that one of your children will carry the disease. Trust me I have sickle cell and it sucks for the love of God I beg please don't pass it one. But again the choice is up to you. Just know that sickle cell children are very expensive to have as their hospital bills can be endless. God bless! |
@ Mrs. Chima I'm sorry for the typo I'm using my IPhone. I meant to type in thanks for your detailed message not your derailing message. Again sorry for the typo I really appreciate your advice. Thanks hun! |
Thank you all sooo much I'm reading everything you guys tell me. I actually just told him that we can't be together anymore because of this situation , although , he begged I stood my ground and he has not called back since then. To answer your question, he asked to after getting my citizenship. Good looking out all of you I really do appreciate it. Now I'm single, but atleast safe. Now my next question is where can I find a good God fearing Christian besides church? Lol |
You are absolutely right. Thank you for your reply. He says that she had a boyfriend at the time he met her, and also has a child at the time they met . I tried finding out more information on the computer about the issue but have no luck. The other day he asked me where does he stand with me , and what do I think about him, and what can he do to make the relationship better. I never knew he was married for papers he just told me a few days ago. I would like to add that for some reason this sill boy decided to ask me " should I divorce her and marry you" I had no reply for him. As for me I just obtained citizenship. |
Thank you so much for your quick and derailed reply. To answer your questions, no it's not a long distance relationship. He lives about 10 miles away from me. I'm always at his house. He works 70 hours a week. He is able to leave me alone in his apartment until I'm ready to leave. There is no sign if a woman around. He has introduced me to his older brother friends and some of his other close relatives. He tells me that the person he married for papers has a child by someone else and that she has a boyfriend. He says that he can't be with a woman who has a child by someone else, he wants to avoid baby daddy drama. I met his older brother when he came to visit my boyfriends home. As a older wiser man I would think that he would not be happy to see me or welcome me as he did if his little brother, my boyfriend was married, Right? This guys is nice caring, he seems to be honest enough to even tell me when he did not have to even say a word. From what my eyes can see he is not in a relationship with this girl, now what he does with his cell phone is a different story. Many people do marry for papers to be able to stay in the country . Perhaps its a survival thing. Do I count all the good things about him or hang onto this one negative aspect of his life? Do I stay or do I go? |
Please I need some good advice. I'm dating this Nigerian man and we have known each other since April 2010 but just started dating each otter officially since march 28, 2011. He just recently Told me that he is married to an American girl but he did it to be able to stay in the U.S. he does not live with this girl, he married her for the papers only. He says that he does not even know where she is. My concern is that. If he does not know where she is how can he go about getting a divorce when he needs to. He tells me that since he is a lawyer he knows how to handle it. He also says that this girl is in her 40's and has a child and a boyfriend. I worried because as a Christian I don't think this is right, let alone it being illegal. Should I be with a man with this kind of character ? Please help!!! |
