Tifay: Oh now I understand you.
Thought you were still on the Chancekarte route.
To answer your question, You shouldnt have much to worry about, Blue card applications are generally faster in comparison to the Opportunity card. Although, I suspect that at the moment, it is currently a peak period given that lots of applicants are awaiting next steps.
Also I think not getting any comment and push back after your last round of corrections is most likely a positive, You should possibly get a notification to book an interview appointment within the next 2 weeks max.
I think you are in a good spot though, I wouldnt worry myself too much if I were you. One thing you could possibly do for others on this thread seeing as you're a new poster is to tell how you went about your job search, what platforms you used and what you think put you at an advantage ( maybe you knew the language, your industry perhaps, worked or schooled in Europe previously etc) that'll be really useful. Quick update, I've now been booked for a physical appointment |

JIGGERNAPPY: You're spot on. To help you further, I'd also suggest that if you don't have a birth certificate, you should do a digital affidavit that has a barcode on it. A friend who got almost same offer as you was denied strictly because his age declaration from court couldn't be verified. Just confirm that yours is intact. Shalom! Thank you, appreciate. I have a birth certificate issued by the NPC |

Thanks, that's reassuring to hear, I'll share an update once I get the appointment or feedback. On the job search, happy to share what worked for me: I focused on tech, specifically AI and software engineering, I think that was my biggest advantage since I already work in enterprise AI, also have built a couple of personal products myself. The role I'm joining is in AI engineering, so it was a close match. I used linkedIn and applied to roles that matched my background. Building in public helped, I've been sharing my work online for a while (conversations came up around some of them during the interviews) I went through a series of interviews and a couple of technical tasks before the offer came. I'd also be honest that there was a bit of luck involved, as that was the only interview I landed. I don't speak the language, my colleagues speak English (just started learning the basics now). I also never schooled in Europe. Happy to answer anything specific. |

Tifay: I'm not sure you did the right thing and your application will most likely be rejected.
You cant apply whilst being under consideration for a Blue card as you have a full time offer already. You have to stick to one which in your case should be the blue card.
Since you have a full time offer, I would advise you strictly stick to the blue card and possibly withdraw your opportunity card application.
BTW, this is just an advise, please feel free to do your own thorough research before deciding Thank you, I know you actually can't be under active consideration for both, I'm only on the blue card now, and withdrew the opportunity card application. The Blue Card is the only live application. Thanks again for looking out, or are you referring to a different mistake? |

Hello everyone, I stumbled on this thread last year "Migrating to Germany for free" sounded interesting, and I read it end to end to understand the process, eye opening honestly. I joined the opportunity card waitlist, but knowing I couldn't afford the blocked account amount, I started job hunting, hoping to land a part-time role to meet the funds requirement. It went further than expected, I went through an interview process, the company suggested I look into the blue card instead so I could work full-time, and I eventually got a full-time offer that clears the threshold. So I'm now on the Blue Card route. Got my ZAB done in about two weeks (Blue Card priority) and submitted.
Thank you to everyone keeping this thread alive, I genuinely wouldn't have known where to start without it.
One question for those ahead of me: I had a few things to correct at the preliminary review stage and fixed most of them. After the last correction required, which I completed over a week ago, I haven't heard back and the portal still shows preliminary review. Is that normal? Earlier, correction requests came within a day or two, so I'm not sure if the silence means everything's now in order or something else. Would appreciate any experience. |
