Car TalkRe: Nigeria Lady Gifts Her Husband An SUV For Setting Up A Business For Her (vid) by technatious: 1:22pm On Dec 09, 2024
Now, this an appreciate lady.
This is not about the man being her husband... She is just being naturally appreciative as a person.

Within the husband-wife context, any wife in her situation would have just taken the man for granted boastfully telling her friends, "It is his duty...He has to make me happy".

Let us all appreciate this great lady.
She deserves acholades of Gold and Diamonds.
She is indeed a rare gem.

Much love, Sis!

While the move may not have gone down well with the people, with the heavy burden of day to day expenses upon then owing to the harsh economic realities of the recent times: the decorations and celebration mood bring, as I see it, some rays of hope from the government to her people.

That, in a short while from now, things shall indeed turn around for the better.
I think, optimism is the keyword here.

Happy Xmas in advance, great people!

AutosPothole Avoidance Gadget | Navigating A Car Safety On Flooded Roads, Poor Visibi by technatious(op): 8:42am On Dec 09, 2024
Anyone who drives a vehicle, no matter the make or type, knows that bad roads are a bad threat to safe driving and generally a real issue out there.

Driving through bad segments of a road can both be frustrating, stressful and damaging to the vehicle.

Now, when other natural factors such as flooding, nightfall, harmattan haze etc set in, then the situation can become very dangerous and often life threatening as accidents can easily occur owing to poor visibility or bad navigation.

How about hitting an unseen pothole at high speed or worse still, swerving suddenly (and aggressively) at the last moment when you suddenly noticed a large pothole on the road right ahead of you?

Last minute actions to avoid potholes or terribly bad portions of the road are responsible for over 70% of road accidents on highways. The number of lives lost annually worldwide owing to this is immense.

How about the stress and dangers of missing your track on a badly flooded road and ending up in a ditch simply because the flooding has impaired your view of the road floor?

Last year, I lost a friend who, while traveling in his car at night, unfortunately ran into a broken down vehicle right on his path, abandoned by the driver without adequate warning to other road users.
His car was totalled and he died instantly on the spot. Very sad.

His death was painful to me... but it brought me an idea.

What if I could use my technical knowhow to put resources together, with the help of others willing to team up, and come up with a specially designed 'Road scanner', a gadget that aids driving in bad conditions and helps to save lives?

So, I sat down to work on it and decide on what features it should have or not have.
While working on this, I saw that it will best be designed to fit as a front facing device, almost like a camera (but not really a regular photo camera). It will either be placed on the vehicle's dashboard or externally on the front, with the ability to scan the road ahead using invisible rays. The use of this invisible rays will make it able to see what the human eyes may not see in bad driving conditions.

It will come with a driver facing display, to be mounted on the dashboard, by which the driver can see the properly mapped out (scanned) road ahead as well as identifying bad portions with potholes, ditches, road bumps, obstacles ahead, etc.
This array of vital information being displayed as an x-ray map of the road ahead will enhance the driver's driving experience, safeguide the vehicle from unnecessary damages and greatly enhance the general safety of road users, through avoidance of avoidable accidents.
Additionally, it will come with an app, which you can run on your smart devices for live status feed of the road ahead. With this feature, even the car owner or boss sitting in the rear can monitor the driver's driving and hence, their own personal safety. Another user convenience feature it will have is an audible alarm, which automatically alerts you of dangers ahead, incase you were not paying attention.

I already started fundraising for this laudable project and I am excited that that my contribution to the progress of the driving world, through making this essential driving accessory available to everyone will bring immense joy and fulfilment to everyone involved.

By the way, I am also thinking of starting another one on saving the lives of drivers who fall asleep behind the steering wheel while driving. Lol..This has happened to be before...so, I know what I am talking about. It is a serious issue too!

What do you guys think?
