Lenovo has decided to offer the IdeaPad Flex 5 Gen 7 AMD model this month, after the launching of the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Gen 7.

The Flex 5 AMD, like its Flex 5i sister, offers with two screen sizes to pick from: a 14-inch panel and a 16-inch display. Both screen sizes have the more precise 16:10 aspect ratio that we've seen on all of the 2022 laptops so far.

The biggest difference here is the CPUs under the hood; whilst the Flex 5i uses Intel's 12th Gen Alder processors, the AMD Ryzen 3 5300U, Ryzen 5 5500U, and Ryzen 7 5700U processors are used in the 2022 upgrade of the IdeaPad Flex 5 Gen 7 AMD edition.

These Ryzen 5000 CPUs, however, are the same ones we saw in the IdeaPad Flex 5 Gen 5 AMD model last year, which is odd because AMD's Ryzen 6000 Mobile series for 2022 was announced in January. It's possible that the ongoing chip shortage pushed Lenovo to use last year's CPUs to save production costs, as newer processors are likely to be more expensive and raise the lineup's price tag by a large margin.

The screen is the most significant enhancement from Gen 5 to Gen 7. In comparison to the 16:9 weakly illuminated TN Panel of last year's Gen 5, the IdeaPad Flex 5 AMD Gen 7 now has a 16:10 IPS Touchscreen Display. The screen comes in several resolution and brightness options which are as follows:

Qualcomm initially revealed the Snapdragon 865 SoC at its annual Tech Summit in Maui, Hawaii. This 5G-only processor is the successor of the Snapdragon 855 and 855+, and it's used in a number of high-end phones in India and overseas.

Carl Pei, a former OnePlus executive, delivered the big news we've all been waiting for today: Nothing will launch an Android-based smartphone this year. Furthermore, the phone will ship with an unique Android skin that, on paper, sounds eerily similar to the early days of OnePlus' Oxygen OS.
The smartphone is formally known as the Nothing Phone 1. This is consistent with the company's obvious branding approach, as its initial product is a pair of earbuds known as Ear 1. Nothing has been confirmed, but Phone 1 will be the company's next hardware release, so we won't see any other gear for a long.

Phone 1 will be powered by an unspecified Snapdragon CPU. Given that this is the company's debut product, it is impossible to speculate on which CPU that could be. Nothing stated that further information on the phone and its accompanying hardware would be released "in the coming months."
The business did not provide a specific launch date for the phone, only a broad estimate of Summer 2022. That means between now and the end of September, but we'll likely find out more specifics soon.

Nothing's single current product, the Nothing Ear 1, has a transparent casing on both the earphones and the charging case, which is one of its striking design characteristics. Carl Pei stated this when media interviewed him in the early days of Nothing.

Following the disappointing sales of the iPhone mini, Apple is expected to focus on bigger iPhone sizes for its flagship handsets, with a 6.1-inch iPhone 14, a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro, a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max on the way.


Since 2017, iPhones with Face ID have featured a notch on the front to hold all of the essential electronics for face recognition, but with the release of the iPhone 14, that will change. The notch is scheduled to be removed from the iPhone 14 Pro models in 2022 in favour of a new design. Right now, rumors are conflicting, but it appears like Apple will utilise a mixture of a circular hole-punch cutout for the camera and a pill-shaped cutout to house the crucial Face ID components. Unfortunately, this functionality will only be available on the iPhone 14 Pro models, while the normal iPhone 14 models will continue to have a conventional notch.

The back camera might also get a makeover, with Apple introducing a thicker shell that would minimise the camera bulge. The lenses, flash, and LiDAR scanner might all be flush with the back glass if this is true, although we’ve only heard one rumour indicating this.

Qualcomm has unveiled a new chipset for the next generation of flagship phones. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 replaces the Snapdragon 888 and has significant improvements such as a new Image Signal Processor (ISP). Here’s how it stacks up against its forerunner.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is the company’s first 4nm mobile CPU, as well as the first to employ a new naming scheme. The San Diego-based semiconductor company’s long-standing triple-digit nomenclature for mobile platforms is being phased out in favour of a new one.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1’s initial improvement is its lower node size. Because the processor is 4nm and has more transistors than the Snapdragon 888, it should potentially be more power-efficient while simultaneously providing superior performance. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 should let a phone to run quicker for the user while using less battery power. The Cortex-X2 prime core, which is 16 percent quicker than the Cortex-X1 in the Snapdragon 888, is one of the new and more powerful cores of the CPU.
