How to Fix ‘APPLICATION NOT INSTALLED’ Error on Tecno, Infinix, Gionee, saamsung, HTC, Xiaomi and other Android phones - It’s the annoying error message you hate seeing on your Android phone: “Application not installed”. What happened? All you were trying to do was install an Android app. That should be simple. Receiving this error message is a common problem when downloading APK files. APK stands for Android Application Package, and it used by the Android operating system as the package file format for the installation and allotment of mobile apps. If for some reason, your Android device is unable to access Google Play, APK files offer another option for installing and downloading mobile apps. APK files are designed exclusively for Android devices. View Source For A well Detailed Post -->http://www.tecnomobiles.com/2017/01/quickly-fix-application-not-installed.html How to Fix ‘APPLICATION NOT INSTALLED’ Error on Androids POSSIBLE CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS First, it is important to identify the reason the message is being displayed. Knowing the root cause will make finding a solution more accessible. There are various reasons that could cause this error message to display. Let’s look at these common causes and some ways to resolve them. Problem: Not enough available storage space. This is a very common reason for the error. The app can’t be installed because there isn’t room for it on the device. If storage is full, no new apps can be downloaded. Solution: Go through all of your current apps and delete any that you do not use to free up storage space. You can also delete photos, music and videos to free up any additional storage. Problem: Corruption of the app or the APK file. This is common when an app is downloaded from an unofficial source/outside of Google Play. The app you are trying to install may be already corrupted. It could also be copied from another source, or it may not even be fully available. Solution: Double check the source you’re using to download the app and ensure it is a reliable source. If you cannot confirm this, it would be better to download the app from a trustworthy source such as Google Play. Problem: an APK signature or certificate clash. Android operating systems are defaulted to require that all applications be signed when installed. This signature is used to identify the author of the application and to build confidence among applications with the same signature. An app with a valid signature ensures that it is coming from the developers you expected. If you attempt to install an APK from outside the Google Play Store, and use it as an update to an app you currently have, the OS will try to validate the application’s certificate by ensuring it came from the same developers. If the certificate matches, the application will install as desired. If the certificate does not match, it implies the APK has been tampered with and will result in an “Application not installed” error message. Solution: Ensure you are installing the application from a valid source. Delete any previous versions of the application that you may have on your Android device. Problem: Incorrect app install location. This is a common reason for the error message. There are certain apps that can only be installed on phone memory. Other apps can be installed on both the phone memory and the SD card. An SD card is a memory card that can be used on Android devices to allow for more space for your photos, games, apps and music. If an app that is only available to be downloaded on the phone memory attempts to install on the SD card, it will result in the error message. Solution: First you can attempt to reset your device’s app permissions. To do this go to Settings>Apps>All>Menu key>Reset app permissions or reset app preferences. Second, you can change the application installation location to ‘Let the system decide’ or ‘Automatic’. Problem: Corrupted storage on the phone or SD card. This is likely the most common problem when it comes to issues with applications not being installed. If the storage of your Android device or the SD card is corrupt in any way, no new application can be installed. Solution: If there is corruption, it is most likely to be your SD card that is corrupted over your phone storage. In this case, you can reformat your SD card. Copy the contents of the memory card to another location as a backup first, and then reformat the card. To format your SD card on your Android device, go to the home screen and tap on Menu>Settings. Proceed to SD & Phone Storage. Tap on “Unmount SD card” and then validate. Follow this by tapping on “Format SD”. Follow the process on the screen to complete the formatting. Problem: Installation on a mounted SD card. It’s possible that your SD card is mounted on a laptop or another device. If this is the case, the SD card will be seen as not accessible and therefore errors will occur when you attempt to install a new app. Solution: This is a very simple solution; ensure that your SD card is not connected to any other devices. If it is, disconnect it. Problem: Temporary operating system errors or app permission errors may also be the cause of this issue. Solution: In this case, there isn’t a direct go-to solution. It may be as simple as waiting and attempting to install the app later, hoping the temporary glitch has resolved itself. OTHER OPTIONS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE There are a few other options in attempting to resolve the ‘application not installed’ issue if the causes are not any of the above. As we do with all electronic and technological devices when they give us problems, reboot your phone. You also try to simply shut down the device, remove the battery and reinsert it. The last solution to resolve the problem is to completely wipe your phone. This is not an ideal option and should only be used as a last resort. You can wipe your device by going to Settings and doing a factory reset. You can also do a total wipe in recovery mode. Again, this option should only be used if you have attempted allof the above and not been successful. GOODBYE ERROR MESSAGE Now you are all set for the next time you receive that pesky ‘Application not installed’ error message. Instead of rolling your eyes and throwing your phone in frustration, you can go through all of the causes and solutions in this article. You’ll be sure to resolve the issue quickly and easily. In some cases, it will be as simple as shutting your phone off and taking out, then reinserting the battery. Or a simple reboot of your phone may do the trick. It may be that you’ve got so many amazing apps, photos and games, that there simply isn’t any remaining storage left on your phone; that’s easy to fix with the deletion of apps you no longer use. Even if the root cause is more serious and the fix is more laborious, at least you have options of how to resolve the issue now. |
Consider this 14 most efficient, tested and essential smartphone battery tips for android to extend your battery life longer than it used to, for you to archive this, you have to optimize your device with the tips below to gain additional 3 to 4 hours of battery life Trust Me. http://www.tecnomobiles.com/2017/01/14-most-efficient-smartphone-battery-tips-2017.html How to Optimize My Smartphone Battery To last Longer 1. Check which apps are draining your battery In all versions of Android, hit Settings -> Device -> Battery or Settings -> Power -> Battery Use to see a list of all apps and how much battery power they're using. If an app you don't use often seems to take up a disproportionate amount of power, consider uninstalling it. 2. Uninstall apps Delete apps you don't use from a single menu by heading to Settings -> Apps -> All. Tap on each app and hit Uninstall to remove it as well as any data it has created. 3. Never manually close apps Despite the popularity of task-killer apps for Android, manually closing running apps doesn't help battery life, a myth recently debunked by both Apple and Google. In fact, closing an app can even very slightly damage battery life according to Android's SVP of Android, Chrome and Chrome OS, if the phone system requires it to run again (or when you open it again). 4. Remove unnecessary widgets from the home screen Many Android apps, including social networks, weather apps and news apps, come with widgets that sit handily on the home screen for real-time updates. However, widgets are battery drainers due to their constant syncing with the mother-ship or power-sucking animations. If you don't need a permanent window into Twitter, or regular updates on the weather, remove the superfluous widget by pressing and holding it, then dragging it to the trash can icon. 5. Turn on Airplane Mode in low-signal areas Smartphones use more power when trying to connect in low-signal areas. If you can't get a signal, turn on Airplane Mode by swiping down and tapping the Settings wheel. If your low-signal area is, say, an office or someone's home, you can turn on Wi-Fi (with Airplane Mode enabled) instead to stay connected. Then restart your cellular connection when you're in an area with better coverage. On the flip side, disabling Wi-Fi may not always save battery life. Your phone uses less energy to connect to wireless than cellular networks, while Wi-Fi also helps phones determine location – handy for paring back the need for power-hungry GPS. 6. Turn off GPS when not in use GPS is one of the heaviest drains on the battery – as you've probably noticed after using Google Maps to navigate your last road trip. When you're not actively using navigation, swipe down to access Quick Settings, and toggle it off. You'll be prompted to re-enable it when you use Maps. Alternately, if you're using apps that require your location, you can head to Settings -> Location -> Mode and select “Battery saving” (where Wi-Fi and mobile networks are used to determine your location) over “High accuracy” (where GPS is also used). 7. Check app location tracking Some apps track your location and therefore use more battery power than strictly necessary by accessing your GPS. At Settings -> Location you can see which apps recently requested your location, as well as how much (low/high) battery it took. For apps that seem to be demanding more than necessary, head into the apps and manually adjust the permissions individually. 8. Dim the screen – intelligently If you're using Android 5.0 or newer, head to Settings -> Display and enable “automatic brightness”, which allows the phone to adapt the display based on the lighting where you are, ensuring the screen is never brighter than necessary. But if your battery is in dire straits, manually dimming the screen is a good temporary fix until you can get to a charger. Pull down the notifications menu and drag the brightness slider to the very dimmest display level you're comfortable with. 9. Decrease screen timeout You can save a little bit of battery power many times over by decreasing the length of time your phone remains idle before its display automatically goes dark. Head to Settings -> Display to adjust Screen timeout to, say, 10 seconds rather than an interval like 30 minutes (which you may have chosen if you were doing something like using the phone for a recipe). 10. Stop vibrating If your phone is ringing, you don't need it to vibrate as well. Head to Settings > Sound and uncheck “Vibrate for calls”. To really get into battery miser mode, turn off haptic feedback, the handy little vibe when you press virtual keys, by going to Settings > Language and keyboard and unchecking “Vibration feedback”. 14. Keep weather updates local Who doesn't love the weather widget that tells the time and the temperature in one handy, live-updating home screen box? If you've loaded yours up with cities where you've been vacationing, that widget could be contributing to heavy battery drain. Remove superfluous cities from your weather app by heading to Settings. The device is officially set to be launched by the Tablet Unit of TECNO later this October. The TECNO DroidPad 10 Pro II packs interesting specifications and innovative upgrades, one of them being the latest Remix OS 2.0, an Android based desktop OS designed by Jide Technology, a company started by 3 ex-Google engineers to unlock the huge potentials of Android in order to accelerate a new age of computing. This combines the productivity features found in the regular PC, Windows for instance, with the mobility and ecosystem of the Android OS to enable users effortlessly enjoy features which would ordinarily be found in personal computers – a ‘start button’ called the app drawer, task-bar, easy multitasking between multiple resizable tabs or “windows”, sidebar notification, drag and drop files, and the conventional keyboard short cuts many PC users have become familiar with. This is basically and brilliantly making PCs more mobile. The new Droipad 10 pro II which is slated to launch later this month of September, will be the first device to debut the Upgraded version of the Remix OS in Africa. The 2-in-1 body device is built for speed with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and flaunts a vibrant 10.1’’ IPS touchscreen with full lamination that delivers stunning colour consistency, plus an inbuilt 32GB storage capacity to hold your multimedia content and a 2GB RAM that enables faster responses when multitasking. More than enough juice power Aside the Remix OS upgrade, the next amazing specs is the monster battery. The DroiPad 10 Pro II comes with a powerful 7000mAh battery capacity that can enable users enjoy productivity and video playback of up-to 11 hours in a single charge. The freedom of a 2-in-1 Tablet PC Another feature that makes the DroiPad 10 Pro II attractive is its beautiful detachable keyboard. This wirelessly connected accessory is essentially what converts the DroiPad 10 Pro II into a mini PC. For lovers of physical keyboards, this is the real deal, as typing is pretty easy without hassles. The shortcuts found in our regular PCs work perfectly on this device, thanks to this detachable keyboard. What’s more, the device is Dual SIM, 4G-LTE network compatible and can equally make the conventional voice calls, something quite hard to find in high end tablets that normally offer data only devices via Wi-Fi or a data enabled SIM slot without being able to make voice calls. The specs of the DroiPad 10 Pro II may not be out of the world for heavy PC users, but the freedom and mobility options this “All-in-1 Android Tablet-PC” offers are features that make it a first choice for every class of mobile PC lovers, more so for upwardly mobile people. And if the price is right, a department TECNO sure knows how to effectively deal with, the DroiPad 10 Pro II is sure to hold sway within the Tablet and 2-in-1 PC market. Chinese phone company, Tecno, whose business has entered its 10th year the Middle East and African markets, has informed of plans to set up a manufacturing plant in Nigeria. For effect, the firm said it has secured a large expanse of land in one of the choicest areas of Lagos. Tecno Deputy Marketing Manager, Nigeria, Attai Oguche, who disclosed this in Lagos, at the launch of the firm’s new mobile devices—Phantom 6 and Phantom 6 Plus, said the firm is committed to the Nigerian market, hence the need to site a manufacturing plant in the country. Oguche said while Tecno has its first African manufacturing plant in Ethiopia, the firm has established presence in 48 territories, “Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania respectively remain the biggest market on the continent for the phone company.” The firm said it has revolutionised mobile telephony in well over 30 African countries; giving mobile users global quality devices at affordable rates. The strategy of adopting innovation works and for Tecno, the turning point was the introduction of dual SIM technology into its range of feature phones and smartphones well before top mobile brands doing business in same markets could respond to a glaring consumer need. Giving more insight into the newly launched device, which was globally unveiled in Dubai, UAE, Tecno Digital Marketing Executive, Jesse Oguntimehin, said the firm currently controls 25.3 per cent market share in Nigeria. The Official launch of Phantom 6 on September 25 at Burj Khalifa towers; Dubai is brand’s first step in long-term growth plan for the Middle-east and South American markets Oguntimehin said Tecno has a good reason to celebrate its first decade of existence; enjoying particularly rising shipment to Africa and south-east Asian markets VISIT SITE http://www.tecnomobiles.com/2016/10/tecno-expands-to-new-markets-plans-to.html?m=1 |
