Day 30 is different from 30 working days.....
Yes I know. Since I already mentioned 30 working days what's the need writing that twice?. It's working days meaning weekends and bank holidays are excluded. I submitted the week before christmas.

Tls website says 30 working days for priority settlement service. Ukvi confirmed it through there contact service. It's day 30 today and I can't even function. Refreshed my mailbox countless times already. Who else is in my shoes please.

Hi, I am working on my application. I need to know at one point the option to pay for priority comes up. I am at the pay for visa application and my total is stating $2051 without the priority fee.

Also if i am employed, am i supposed to submit my employment letter, payslips, etc.
You do not get to pay for priority on the visa4uk website. It's called PSS- priority settlement service. You can pay for it on the TLS website upon registration. Go to Value Added Service and scrollto find it. It's 551 pounds.

Also regarding your certificate, if it is a UK certificate, include the original provided it is either a bachelor, master or PhD. Certificate from institutes like professional courses will not suffice.

While filling the form online, if you filled employed, I feel it is pertinent to provide such evidence.

Please take your time to arrange the documents properly, get originals and don't overlook ant important doc.

Am really sorry for the denial something similar happened to me.1st application was a mess hubby was too busy with his exams so didn’t really put everything required so we appealed 2months after we got an email with my court date after all the overtight bundle we sent we actually included everything they wanted and this was with the help of a solicitor .till date I can’t really say what they did with my bundle because my hubby was with his solicitor when he sent it off.i actually mounted pressure on hubby he resubmitted the bundle to them with a cover letter saying that we have addressed all their concerns .within 10days decision was overturned visa issued within 7 days.the only thing we lost was appeal fee.this people are human beings and am sure they would have overturned the decision if you appealed it they had no reason to deny you in the ist place.wish you all the best
Thank you. Hubby and I decided not to appeal cos of the time frame involved . We heard 6 to 12 months. We do not have luxury of time. But with your own appeal time? Such great news .....

I wish you can sue as this is plain stupid . The ECO definitely does not know thetir work.
Ufortunately I don't think I can. The options I had was either reapply or appeal. Appeal takes 6 to 12 months. Like I said we don't have the luxury of time. We had to reapply.
My prayer now is this comes out successful and on time .it's a month and 3 days already. Let's say a month due to the bank holidays. We paid for priority like we did before.
Just maybe I will when I get my visa first.

Iko5000:
Not sure how this is possible as a degree in Uk can be used as your English requirement . Which my wife did and it was no issue.>
Well a lot of people doubt when I say this. Also like I said before, let just pray that a stupid ECO does not handle ones case. I included the original. I had called Naric while I'm the uk and they told me o didn't need to further access my certificate.it was a very painful one. The Eco just did rubbish.

They simply used the 1st application payment to buy loads of TomTom sweets.....

NB: I think (I might be wrong).......
You can say that again. Also, I understand most of the ECO are not properly trained and have lots of workload. The refusal letter also came with a lot of typographical errors.
I simply pray for mercy and favour this time.

. Can you please update us on the reasons used in denying you within the short period ? Many thanks.
Only one reason. Eco said I didn't meet English language requirement. I included my masters certificate which I obtained from a top uk university and yet Eco said I didn't meet the requirement when the appendix fm immigration rule clearly states that it is a way of proving English language eligibility. My spouse and I could have clearly appealed the decision but we do not have luxury of time.
Let's just be prayerful that oloriburuku Eco will not attend to our case o.

Please who else applied on the 1st of November? Let me know my application date mate so we can join hands. My anxiety is heightened at this point. Lord have mercy
I applied 20th of November. Was denied 1st of December. I have since reapplied. I reapplied exactly a month ago using priority.
I think you should start looking for ticket to Uk. ...all zee best to us.

There's actually no harm in trying. Was just trying to buttress a post of a lady that priority didn't work for her husband after initial refusal.

The wait is not easy. All the best.
Please did you eventually use priority and did it work? Thanks.

[quote author=MreSBee post=64153352]Morning

Please can you update us (or me) as your application progresses because I’m particularly interested in knowing if there isn’t a problem with trying to use priority visa once one has been denied once. I was denied my spouse visa in Dec 2016.... I plan to reapply soon on priority visa so I would really like to have the assurance that I’m good to go with the priority regardless of my previous refusal. Thanks and good luck

I sure will. I am expecting a response from them this week if they strict to priority.
Also if you can, start processing your police character certificate if you intent to work within 6months of arriving the uk while waiting for your visa.
Cheers.

We have known applicants on this thread that have had previous UK/USA visa refusals, applied for spousal visa and paid priority fees....... And applications got treated with the priority it deserved.......

I hope yours is also treated as priority, but kindly update thread for reference..........
I am hoping so too. Been away from my husband for two months now and it feels crazy. Thanks
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Teeaas: 11:02am On Jan 12, 2018
I did my masters in international law from unI verity college london. I think the mistake I made was putting in all my qualification in the application as English language requirement.i.e law school, call to bar, llb, diploma all in law.also I included details of a uk professional exam I am doing.so maybe the Eco just assumed they were all from nigeria.
Also there were lots of typographical error in the refusal letter indicating the Eco did not farabala (take hid/ her time)
Also I had at a point a uk residence permit, 5 year uk visit visa presently which expires next year. I have been visiting my husband since we got married but never stayed up to 6months on each visit.
This time around I only included the masters certificate and letter from naric saying since I have a uk masters degree I don't need it assessed by them again.
So please I need to know is, will priority payment for reapplication of settlement visa be treated as priority or standard.
Thanks
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Teeaas: 8:11am On Jan 12, 2018
Please guys I need to know. I applied for settlement visa in November 2017 and was denied in December 2017 for not meeting English Lan gauge requirement even though I have a masters from a uk university. I has paid for priority. I reapplied paying priority again. Now my question is, will they treat the second application as priority or not because I was denied at the first application. Thanks.
TravelRe: Post Your UK Visa Timeline Here! by Teeaas: 8:47pm On Dec 07, 2017
So I realise that people hardly come here to post when they get denied. I have decided to.
I came back from uk on 15 Nov 2017 ( still have 2year visa expiring in 2018)
Applied for priority settlemony online on 17th Nov 2017
On 20 Nov 2017 I went in for biometric at ikeja tls
On 22 Nov 2017 they received supporting documents
On 23 Nov 2017 they requested for prepared envelop which was sent next day by hubby
On 5th December 2017 got 2 emails from Tlscontact.first that decision had been made and secondly to come pick up.I knew I had been refused.
Why was I refuse you may ask, that I didn't meet English language requirement after I enclosed a uk masters degree certificate?
I curse the Eco where ever he/she is because that was the most flimsy refusal reason ever. For God's sack I schooled in the UK. Do they teach in Arabic or Dutch in uk? After spending almost 3mil naira? 1465 pounds for application, 750 for IHS, 552 for priority, 89 for walk in, 50k naira for Tb test, flight ticket back to Nigeria, photocopies, printing, photograph printing, documents request , DHL was 22k naira....
Also I have visited uk more than 20times and several other European countries
Now I am gladly spending Christmas in Nigeria without my hubby.
In everything I bless God.
Cheers guys.
