WebmastersThe Real Reason For Search Engine Optimization by Teeboy11(op): 4:03pm On Aug 18, 2023
I'm sure you've heard of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

But what does it truly mean?

Most importantly do you know the "why" behind it?

Is it even important for every business?

I'll tell you the truth.

SEO is not for everybody.

Let me explain.

What exactly is SEO?
Forget all the jargon.

The main thing you should know about SEO is that it will make your website show up first when people search for your product or service.

This is vital because people hardly go beyond the first page of search.

If your business is not showing up on the first page or if at all, the second page, then your website is useless.

You're just spending money for nothing.

Why do SEO?
The benefit of SEO is that you can get customers without paying for advertisement.

Yes. Get customers without paying for ads.

See the world is unfair.

The websites showing up first and stealing your customers don't have a better product or service than you.

But if you don't use this SEO game to your advantage, you'll keep on begging for customers.

Who is SEO for?
Remember I said SEO is not for everybody.

If you're not patient and consistent don't even think of SEO.

But for those real business owners that can sacrifice 1 to 3 months to focus on their SEO, they'll reap the reward.

SEO is simple and you can do it yourself.

Check this out for all you need to know about SEO.

Education3 Facts That Will Shock You And The Lessons To Learn From Them by Teeboy11(op): 3:52am On Aug 02, 2023
1. Did you know that Apple (the makers of iPhone) were almost bankrupt in 1996?

Believe it or not, one of the world's largest companies today was broke some years back.

What saved them was the magic of Steve Jobs (check how he did it here)https://insight.ng/business/competitor-analysis/

The lesson is that persistence pays. It doesn't matter how you started. Just keep going and get better along the way. You will surely win.

2. The colour wheel used by graphic designers, artists and painters wasn't made by an artist, painter or graphic designer.

In fact, it was made by a scientist.

Sir. Isaac Newton, the guy who said for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, created the colour wheel.

My question is, what were all the artists doing with their lives!

Lesson is that you should follow your intuition more and learn what interests you. It doesn't have to be in your field.
You never know what you might discover. See this post to kniw more about colour wheel https://www.canva.com/colors/color-wheel/

WebmastersThe Real Reason Why You Need SEO by Teeboy11(op): 7:59pm On Jul 02, 2023
Are you a website owner?
Do you know what SEO means?
Why should you care?

Well I believe that as a business owner your ultimate aim is to make more sales, to make more profit.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure you didn't just create a website to have something that is fine with your business name and logo on it.

You created a website so that you can show your business to the world, and get more customers.

Guess what. SEO can help you do that.

SEO stands for Search engine optimization.

It simply means making your website to show up on search engines like google when your customers search for the kind of products or service you offer.

Or when they look for answers related to your products or services.

For example. Let's say you sell sneakers online.

I want to buy sneakers, so I go to Google and type "best sneakers in 2023".

It is the optimized websites that will show up on the first page of Google.

And just so you know, about 75% of users don't go beyond the first page of google search.

Just think back. When you search for things on google, how many times do you go beyond the first page? Not to talk of the 2nd or 3rd pages.

So you get the idea right?

Now if you've been positioning your website and your business properly, creating valuable content using search engine optimisation techniques, you are likely to be exposed to more people interested in what you have to offer.

This can bring you more visitors, and eventually more customers.

So if you're an online business owner with a website, you definitely have to consider search engine optimization (SEO).

WebmastersStop Wasting Money On Your Website! by Teeboy11(op): 6:17pm On Jun 28, 2023
Why have a website when it's not helping your business in any way?

If your website isn't

-Increasing your reach
-Generating leads (potential customers)
-Channeling ready to buy customers to your products
-Generating revenue through ads or affiliate links

Then what is it up for?

Did you
•pay for a website
•buy a domain name and hosting

only to have a fancy website that is doing absolutely nothing?

Are you just wasting
•money
•energy
•time
getting burnt out with stress, creating content that isn't helping you in any way?

You might as well just run a charity or abandon your website for good!

If you want your website to fulfill its potential, follow these 4 simple steps👇

1. Have clear goals
:- if you only got a website because everyone is doing it then you're leaving too much cash on the table.

You're limiting your income.

Unclear goals = unclear results

Your website can help you
•get customers organically
•reduce ad spend
•inform buyers

It can be your money making machine.

What do you want to achieve with your website?

2. Create a plan:- Having goals without a plan is wishful thinking.

This is the 2nd most important thing to do if you want your website to be an invaluable asset.

No. 3 is the most important.

For a good plan you must know your
•Audience (who is your ideal customer?)
•Keywords (what are they searching for on Google?)
•Competitors (how are they stealing your customers?)

Then you must analyse your website to know where it is losing.

All these will help you create a solid plan.

3. Action
:- this is the most important because you might have crystal clear goals and the best foolproof plan.

But if you do nothing you'll see nothing.

•Optimise your website
•Create quality content (must be optimised too)
•Promote your content

4. Assess and Adjust:-

Even the best plans fail.

The internet is complex.
A new update can affect your entire plan.

Make sure your actions are productive.

Check for areas of improvement and act accordingly.

Congrats, your website is now ready to conquer the world.

Thanks for reading.

I know making the most out of your website can be stressful and overwhelming so here's how I can help.
•Analyse your website
•Strategies
•Actions you can take immediately

Nairaland GeneralYour Business Will Fail If You Don't Know This. by Teeboy11(op): 1:56pm On Jun 25, 2023
Many people start a business without knowing simple things that can bring them cool cash.

They think business is about their logo or the fancy name of their store.

No wonder over 50% of businesses fail in their first year.
Only about 5% survive more than 3 years.

The owners either end up in debt or frustration.

If you don't want to end up like those people and if you want your business to stand out and stand the test of time, read till the end.

Below are the top 7 reasons why your business will fail.

1. No plan.
You started because you saw your friend making money. Or just out of desperation. Or because it is the trending thing.

You don't know anything about the business, what you need to do to make sales. You just went in blindly.

If you don't know where your business is going you are bound to fail. No direction = no progress

2. You are lazy and don't want to learn how to make it work.
I don't blame those who went in blindly.
I can forgive them because they just wanted to make life better for themselves.

But you see the lazy ones. I have no pity for them. They deserve to fail.

If you don't know the ins and outs of the business you're in and if you're not learning, I bet you it will not fly.

3. You don't know your audience. Your customers.

Imagine selling pampers to a bachelor. It is crazy right?

But that is what many people are doing.

Especially online vendors on WhatsApp.
Everytime "come and buy what I'm selling."
Everytime "help me post this on your status."

Aunty you are selling eyelashes! Wetin I won use am do? Your customers no dey my status.

4. You are only selling to your friends.
This one is similar to no. 3 but it is not the same.

You don't know how to get customers, you have no direction and don't know the problem you're solving.

So you disturb your friends and choke your family with "I never chop since morning". "Give me work."

Sister me sef I never chop, wetin you go give me?

5. Refusal to invest in your business.

See there are people who went in blindly, they are lazy, they don't know their audience, but they are making loads of cash daily.

Because they have the money to pay people who can do all those things for them.

If you don't have enough money to invest, you need to spend more time and energy to learn those things.

One way or the other, you must invest something. Money, time or energy.

6. Poor customer service.
If your customer service is poor, your business will fail no matter how good what you're offering is.

Listen to your customers, learn from your mistakes and focus on giving them massive value and your business will flourish.

Lastly

7. You are ignoring the internet.
As at January 2023, the number of Nigerians online was 122.5 million.

That is over 50% of Nigerians.

If you don't find ways to put your business out there online, it's only a matter of time before other people steal your customers from you.

This is surely not a complete list, but it is the top 7 reasons.

I might do a part 2, so keep an eye out.
