contact emirates or etihad or some hotels, they can get you a 2week visa. If you are coming to look for a job, pls apply for 1,2 or 3months visa. Go to dubai and look for the job. Or if you can get an employent visa, it is still ok, but be careful about the latest.

you can get a selfcon room in dubai for as low as aed4k, as for pri sch fess, it ranges from 15k dirham up per year, and that's likely the cheapest u can get. And that is for sch fees only cos u have to pay other fees seperately, like uniforms, text books, sports/games, excortions, now most schools insist on compulsory tablets for their pupil, which u must buy, and some other things.

I am not a regular reader of this forum , but I bounced in once in a while. Lemmie tell you more about Qatar. Qatar is a very good country if you are a professional. but I am not trying to discourage anybody here. The truth will always be bitter. I hate it when I see my naija brothers in a bad situation. Qatar is not a place where you can do business like Dubai, they have a very strict laws. if any of you will always want to come to Qatar. you must have it at the back of your mind that ,,,there is no ready made job anywhere. you have to come here and search for job, but mind you, you must have your professional certificates which will enhance you in getting a well paid job. Finally, its all about prayer. No one can help you but God in your job search. and beware of agents cos they are after your money. my cents

Today you want to smuggle yourself to Canada to claim asylum, couple of weeks ago you were planning to travel to Dubai for greener pasture.

What next? sale your kidney to make quick buck? You are just in your early 20s, rather than running around trying to mortgage your life, do something more meaningful with your life, your chances of traveling to Canada to claim asylum is remotely slim.

It is possibe to apply for a refugee status in Canada at any seaport, airport or land border.

It is extremely difficult to win a refugee case if you cant prove that your life will be endangered from your departing country either due to your religion, sexual orientation, beliefs, political involvement etc.

I will advise that you apply at one of CIC offices when you're inside Canada, I doubt if you will be deported for applying for asylum at the airport (just like a poster imply) but to be on the safe side, its better not to try.

You should also not focus on the outcome of your asylum application since majority of the applications are denied. It might be of your own interest to look for a professional job ( depends on your academic qualifications) and be able to retain your residency in the event of a negative decision. If you are single and genuinely found a partner, then this is the best redemption to legalise yourself.
