According 2 futminna advert they said all utme candidate who choose futminna as 1st or 2nd most preferred university are eligible 2 apply.
I choose unilorin as my 1st and fed poly ilaro as my 2nd choice(most preferred) and
fed poly ilaro again as my 1st choice and futminna as my 2nd choice(more preferred)
I failed unilorin putme scoring 46, ilaro poly does nt conduct putme,they select my utme scores & those dat choose then most preferred. Ilaro adm list is out 1st & 2nd no show.
Am doubting unilorin because my score is low. Futminna is my last hope. I called the enquiry number they said i should apply, i dont want a situation that i will travel from lagos to minna & i would nt b allow to write d exam. Am frustrated cos i have been seeking adm since 2009. I already collected a part form at ilaro poly cos age is nt by side. pls what ur take on this

D issue of catchment area or no catchment area, politically Kwara st. is in N.Central bt nt all N.central states are itz catchment area 4 example, Sokoto st. isn't in N.central. Realistically, d numbers of admitted students 4rm d S.west outnumbered dat of any Northern areas. Wif this l think dat dude dat says S.west'rn st'. are Kwara catchment area is nt far 4rm d truth just dat he is bn empirical. Now to d issue of some high marks nt admitted . . . Each States in d South West nd oda considered states in d North av dr alloted no of candidates . Letz take Osun st. as an example. If Osun is to b given 66 slots dat means each l.g has to produce 2 cand. each. In a l.g thr may b ova 10 cand. dat meet all d requirement, d highest two 'll b chosen. U knw a one man eyed z a king in all blinded town. Lmoaf, i got this info from a lecturer so am merely not guessing, ok can u compare d rate which the south west apply 2 unilorin to d north central states? If u are not informed it better for u not 2 b deformed.

Admission criteria for unilorin
all candidate need to know that there is merit list,supplementary list and catchment areas to enable them know there chances of securing adm
merit list adm
merit is for those that met the cut off mark they deserved adm for it..
The university will fix a cut off mark following the general performance of student in the exam,department per department. They will utilize a marginal curve for this to make sure for each department at least 80 to 120 people fall inside this curve.
Example now assumming the cut off is 50 for department of education, and when d curve is fixed they got people that scored 50,52, to 60, if u got 62 upward to 80 u may not get it or get it later with anoda course,note cut off is set according to the general performance.
Catchment areas
after merit list then will thhen fix the cut off for catchment area,this knowledge is important when filling ur jamb.
Ekiti ,ondo,ogun,lagos ,oyo,osun have catchment area for unilorin that mean they have consideration for adm. because the sch is located in dis area. Every sch have their catchment area.
So if u are from ogun when d cut off is 50 and u got 48 u may be given adm
supplementary list
here it is entirely slots given to administrative officers or senior staff such as lecturers. They put the names of choice candidate forward it is otherwise know as vc list

youngsoye: u are nt alone,i also chose industrial chemistry as my choice of course. D course is less competitive dis yr with 256 applied 4 it as deir first choice while 289 students applied 4 it as deir second choice.

but with that number,the person dat didnt get up to 50percent as a slim chance,it nt competitive but am sure they will nt nid more than 100person in thaat course.

me too have been trying the link to the registration process, it still bring out the 2011/2012 registration link, i click it and it bring out error. I think d link is still under contruction.

Futa,futo,delsu,kwara poly has all commence d sales of putme forms,oau has already did their own exam, we are still expecting futminna own, pls vc expedite ur action.
