Thank you for your reply. In a case where first year tuition is paid, can you add that to the funds available for stay?

SOPWriter:
In that case, you only need to show the funds required for your first year, while your parents demonstrate adequate financial stability and the capacity to cover your expenses in your subsequent year.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Sponsored by parent
SOPWriter:
Are you a sponsored or self-sponsored applicant?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Teeore:
Thank you, I've paid 1 year tuition, do I need to add that to the funds available, or just strictly liquid cash
amnotapervert:
What IRCC is asking for in the “Funds available for my stay” field isn’t necessarily the full cost of your entire program.

it’s the amount of money you can prove is available right now Money In bank as they would say Liquid cash.......

So if you currently have, $65,000 CAD available, you will put $65,000, not $83,000... because you do not have $83,000 liquid cash

but remember you must still demonstrate the ability to cover the remaining years Via your sponsors Business or salary

Hi everyone,

What does someone need to put in the study permit field of "Funds available for my stay"?
Total tuition for 2 years + living expenses for 2 years + miscellaneous = ~83,000 CAD, but you don't have that total amount in your account.
Thanks

Just curious, Is there a right IRCC portal to use to apply for study permit? Any Pro/Con of using IRCC secure account or IRCC portal.
Thank you!

Hi,
I have couple of questions.
Got a denial last year and the reason in the denial note was “ Bank statements provided does not name the account holder and account number”
The account statement was gotten from the bank app and did not have name and account number on it.

Reapplying for the visa now.I can use same account and get a mybankstatement then give some explanation in the SOP but
- Can I also use a new account statement that wasn’t shown in the first application?
- Got a new passport, do I need to explain all changes from the previous application and this new one

Yes you can but you will need to renew your visa while in Canada
Do you mean passport, I'll need to renew my passport while in canada, right?

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding student visa and passport expiration

I'm applying for a Canada student visa to resume Sept 2026. Program is for 2 years, to graduate Aug 2028. But my Passport expires Sept 2027.
Can I go ahead to submit my application with current passport or I need to apply for a new passport first? I still have a year validity after resumption

Hello everyone,

I want to apply for a B1 Visa for a conference which is 2weeks. But I want to stay in the US for 3 months in total. What do I put as my length of stay in the DS160 form?
