Why is transport to Abuja more expensive than Lokoja?
It is the same price with Abuja, because it is the same truck that will carry both Abuja and lokoja loads. I forgot to change the lokoja price

Redman44:
Even in times of scarcity, to sell a bag of maize for 98,000 naira is ridiculous. Not to talk of Millet and Guinea Corn that were sold for close to 90,000 naira per 100 kg bag. These are grains that are the common man's food. Let Southerners start planting some of these crops or find a way to buy foodstuff directly from the North by themselves. No one is saying you should not make your profit, but not too excessively. Cheers.
I prayed for the Southerners to start planting all these common man foods and depend on themselves without going to the North, but let them start before we can be jubilating. Last time, when the northern refused to allow the grains to enter the southern states, they made a mouth then that the southern would soon be farming all the grains, and we are now in 2024, with nothing to show for it.

The insecurities that affected those farmers in Southern states: did the Southern govt have a solution for the Fulani bandit since all these atrocities had been started. Or do you think that without solving the problem of Fulani, the farmers will have access to their farms

Is it only the middlemen that caused the prices of grains to shoot up or federal govt policy? Is it today that the middle men have been doing business in Nigeria or you will tell me that middlemen were not in Jonathan and Buhari regime?

Good morning

Price updates will start by the weekend. we are now in another year of harvest period from August to December where all the grains will be harvested and cheaper, but CAN THE PRICES GO BACK TO THE PRECIOUS UPTREND MARKET? NO.

Since the removal of subsidy and the floating of dollars, the prices of all grains have broken the RESISTANCE LEVEL from the previous low in the uptrend market.

The new harvest will force the market prices to pull back BEFORE the prices move up again and create another HIGH price.

In summary,
No more 50k for a bag of beans
No more 30k for a bag of maize
No more 30k for a bag of soya
No more 18k for a bag of onions and many more.

A group, Zamfara Indigenes Enlightenment Forum,

Speaking with newsmen in Gusau, the state capital, Tanimu Abdullahi, a representative from the Coalition of Civil Society Groups, CCSG in Zamfara State, highlighted many reasons that warranted the decision.

He emphasized on the importance of the constitutional right to peaceful assembly and protest, noting that many Nigerians have expressed dissatisfaction with recent government economic policies, including the removal of fuel subsidies and increases in electricity tariffs and interest rates.

Any wait when you can still add some profit to what you have before then.

The foodstuffs market is still very profitable now it's just you knowing what to buy.
Ok
No problem, you can go ahead if you want to, but when you start you will see the difference between starting in peak and off peak period

Some people were not staying in damba since the atrocity of the bandits, even those university students in damba has relocated to the city because of the bandits, I don't know what you are still doing in damba when you know that you are a public figure for the target in damba. Also, can ogbono be stored for years too in similar maner?.

Thank you.
Unpeeled can be store for many years while peeled can be stored too but it must be dried very well before storing or else it will spoil.

All grains can be stored when it has dried very well including ogbono

FoodRe: What Is The Reason Behind High Cost Of Beans by Teetee777: 3:57pm On Jun 09, 2024
Normally, beans used to be expensive at 3 to 4 years intervals and the inflation of the country added more to it this year. So by August of this year, the new beans will be coming out from niger republic before the harvest period from Nigeria in Nov.
The beans were also too expensive 3years or 4yrs ago if I didn't mistakenly.

All the grains will be coming down in the harvest period from August to December before we will witness another scarcity during the off-peak period in next year.

AgricultureRe: Why Is Food Expensive In Nigeria? by Teetee777: 4:35pm On May 29, 2024
All these problems you listed have been there before, and the cost of foodstuff didn't skyrocket like this. The cause of the high cost of foodstuff is subsidy removal and floating of dollars, don't let us deceive ourselves.
Bad roads have been there b4 subsidy removal and floating of the dollar

Double taxation has been there before subsidy removal & floating of the dollar

Insecurities have been there before subsidy removal. and floating of the dollar

Greedy the people have been there b4 subsidy removal and floating of the dollar

Therefore, subsidy removal and floating of dollars caused high costs of foodstuff.

They told us that the neighboring countries are benefiting from the low cost of petrol and they decided to remove the subsidy but now go to Niger Republic/Kastina border, you will see people smuggling petrol to the niger republic, so what is the excess of removing subsidy at first instance.
