I have a student going for microbiology as a course to study in the university
Any advice or suggestions like advantages of the course in our country. Career opportunities?

Hello all, having a sec student as a friend so he told abt their teacher warning or advicing them to be careful in choosing their desired universities.
Main question: HE would love to attend uniilorin but his state of origin is osun and osun is not in uniilorin's catchment list.
So should he still apply or go for it?
Pls somebody expantiate.
