the question what do you all regard as 'negative marking' wrote this exam last yr with the whole mentality of oau's marking scheme, so left some questions(of course those I wasn't sure of) unanswered, got home and calculated my score of course using negative marking thought those questions had no answer, to my utmost dismay the score I had calculated using negative marking(added the marks of those I left unshaded) was the score I saw in my result. but when i bought the past questions there was none without answers (the subject was maths and so the working were shown). now what's negative marking

Hausa: u hav no problem @ all. Registering ur o level during d jamb reg is more like a formality tin.
The real screening for ur o level comes up in d university screening board room (i.e if u are admitted).

but exactly what is wrong with oau this year, last year it was the first fed uni to release post utme form but this year we still dey wait, and why exactly will the school release application form for pre-degree students and neglect utme candidates.

Messilo: 12000+ first choice score 200 and above, 6000+ second choice score 200 and above. making total of 19813 will write post utme compare to 357** of last year post jamb, goodluck to all we that score above 200 hundred, lord be with us.

well, if thats true, its one of the exceptions but i submit to you if you are some points below the cut off mark your chances of being consider for other courses is slim. am a living testimony

Fynestboi: what re u insuliating, coz ur words re indirectly written,? U mean u pay 3,700 b4 u can check ur result or wat re u sayin, and how sure re u dat oau uses negative marking? Coz dis ur laugh lasan.

the guy is very correct and is speaking to you from experience, last year the post utme form was 2000 naira or there about and the result checker was 3500 naira and after passing their acid test if you are just 5 points below the almighty cut off mark even yoruba will not be given to you. its very unfair to students that had to leave their remote cities to write their exam and on getting there they find out that the questions are more appropriate for an 100 level student. I pity those of who are allowing yourselves to be fooled that you will be offered another course or that the cut off mark may be lower thinking that jamb result this year is woeful, ask the students that sat for CBT jamb exam and they will tell you otherwise. act wisely and don't be miss-led. he who has let him hear what the spirit is saying.

calm down bro.. mass failure this year 'l automatically reduce cut off! it was due to the no of law aspirants that passed last yr's putme that increasd the cut off.. we've not done the putme yet! this yr the cut off 4 law may nt be up to 250 so u can still make it bro!! #shalom!

based on the experience I has last year, having an aggregate of 240 just 10 marks behind the 250(osun state catchment) I was not offered anything. so my advice to you will be just to change the course to a lower one before it will be too late
