I have a friend who is also undergoing this kind of problem, he told me that all they(all applicants) were told to do was just to pay into oou account and their names would appear on OOU's website, at first i disagreed with him but after verifying from a lecturer there i had to succumb but the registration had already closed so i advised him to get to the bank on monday and challenge the bank and probably get back his money which i strongly doubt. The school should be charged for this misconduct |
If actually medicine is now 260+ as against last year's 295, hoping and praying that economics this year will be 240 as against last year's 270+ |
Now you guys are really getting me confused, i think i wouldn't believe anything untill i can officially confirmed that. |
Guys, lets pray he answers my message |
Hoping to get across to Mr Ayorinde .O. Ogunruku (oau admission registrar) today, what are your questions? Definitly i will try and get the date of the release of cut off marks although i dont maintain a close relationship with him but i'll try |
ebony888: @ Teezman, We dnt hav to brag abt our scores. Do u tink applicants to all other departments doesnt hav gud scores? Like me I applied 4 history. I got 235 in Jamb and 292 in PUTME, I jst lyk following this tread because it has been of great help to me. Kudos to u Guysyou posted that before and so far so good there are the only two history aspirant on this thread unless if others are not posting their score thats why everyone has to post his or her result here so that we can predict the cut off mark Da kingpin: Also pls can u hlp me surf out the depmental cutoff for 2008 thanks in advance man!2008 will be very hard but i can get for last year if you really need it. |
Lets keep this forum blazing...... Its getting boring |
Then that makes you one of the 39 |
dayo_1: So every student that passed d exam is on nairaland, ehn? You had better wake up to reality.now that is where you got me wrong, i didn't mean that the only 39 students that passed here on nairaland passed the exam that was why i said 'you guys should post your scores' since the school didnt release the number of students that passed in each department and each student can post his/her score here then our prediction of the the cut off mark will be very close cos its only on nairaland that you can achieve that. |
After thorough research through nigeria most comprehensive forum website (nairaland) i've discovered that only 37 students passed the just concluded oau post utme with department of law having 9 students which is the highest a department has followed by the medical students(mbbs, med rehab, med & surg.) with 8 students. This information was derived from the scores you guys posted, so those that have not posted their should do so because something is telling me that the number of students that passed this exam was not up to the proposed 7,663 |
hotandholy: u we be admited jst believe in god and give ur papers to someone 4 assitance.i can c ur name on 2nd listare you an aspirant or stalite, cos i would really love to meet an oau student of economics |
Are you sure? Jokes apart pls |
Can you guys help me check this for a friend 25885880HF password: aponmade |
I mean all candidates that chose economics share your scores, so that our surmise can be to some extent accurate |
yusufcarez: Ha ha!!!! i took OAU in 2010 as second choice and i was offered physics instead of d pharmacy i picked.(u can check 2010 thread).Pls if u dont score high marks start pressing...if u score good marks relax(after the cut offs)what was your post utme score and was it above physics cut off mark, Any potential economist in the building, share your scores guy or are you ashamed of it |
Guys i currently work in a secondary school and i need your help on the activities that can be done in the school at its end of the session party, urgent pls. |
In response to the question about those that had above 200 in the just concluded oau post utme, here you go. In a statement released by the PRO in person of Mr Abiodun Olanrewaju of Obafemi Awolow university 6 hours after the examination, it had it that 35,823 candidates wrote the exam and low and behold 28,160(79%) students had less than 200 which puts the number of those that had 200 at 7,663(21%) as against the 8600+ that passed last year, the highest score recorded in the exam was 337 as 51 students got above 300. Thats all i can give you. |
Guys pls i really need your help on the directory to uniosun ikire campus from lagos iyana ipaja. Your help will be appreciated |
Guys its nothing personal, i just find it frustrating for someone to come on this thread while everyone is sharing their result in anticipation for the departmental cut off mark and say twaddles to bamboozle everyone and distabilize everything all in the name of trying to console himself, guys lets make this thread dependable because another person might just come with 320 tomorrow and you'll all start the congratulatory messages when actually its erroneous |
@Idacrux who do you think you're deceiving, firstly you said you had very poor scores and molested the school, later you changed that all in the name of CONGRATULATIONS and now its 122, can we please have a modicum of truth in this forum, cos we dont even know if there are other liars in this thread |
Guys i need a nokia symbian phone with qwerty keypads at very cheap price |
Idacrux elucidate, morufoye nice one for pointing that out |
morufoye: morufoye: |
Jokes apart! In my quest to ensuring a safe nigeria, i have come up with the following rules that will limit road accident in nigeria. You must do the following before crossing the road RULE 1: look left and right for cars RULE 2: Look up for planes RULE 3: Look down for timebombs RULE 4: Look at the bushes for kidnappers. Am very sure that if these rules are strictly adhered to there will be reduce in the number of death casualties. Wishing you all success in your endeavours. GREAT IFE!! Cant wait to have you all there |
You guys should go back to your altar of prayers and stop asking any one about your chances of gaining admission, just keep praying for God's favour cos thats what we all need right now. @abbey, dont worry we are in this together, although we had the same post utme score but our utme scores are different, but anyways, i am ILESANMI TAIWO EMMANUEL a prospective oauite and a potential economist, so can i have your full name. |
You guys should not count your chicks before they are hatched, according to what a lecturer from the school told me, she said that the method used varies each and do change that the school admission committee can decide to use an average of the two scores or the post utme score only and that the committee has not sat to discuss that but anyways, keep your fingers crossed as we all await the release of the departmental cut off by the end of next month or mid august. |
Its like very few students passed this year post utme, cos this thread seams too dry. |
Any potential oau economist in the building |
Even the guy that created this forum is in search for info about the school,so its not his fault that you dont have answers to your questions |
One other thing, how is the cut off mark calculated is it jamb + post jamb divided by two or is there any other mode of calculation adopted. RSVP |
Hello guys, this is my first time of posting on any forum in nairaland this year, i really want to know the total number of students that chose OAU this year and what the cut off mark for ECONOMICS will be how competitive the course is and recommended text books i'll need as a potential economist and student of OAU. I scored 233 in the just concluded jamb exam. RSVP |
Is there no diploma form for economics |
