Fact maomaoyu: Honestly, it depends on which Samsung you are talking about. The A-series (A16, A26, A36) still makes sense — 4 to 6 years of updates and the prices are not crazy. But the S-series flagships at over a million naira are a harder sell now, when Redmi, Tecno and Infinix flagships do 90% of the same job for half the price.
One thing I still rate Samsung for: the display quality and resale value. A used Samsung holds its price better than most Chinese brands on the second-hand market, so the total cost of ownership is not as bad as the sticker price suggests. |

Be honest: If your phone disappeared today, what would you miss FIRST? 📱😂
Forget the camera megapixels and benchmark scores for a moment. For many Nigerians, a phone is now:
📱 Bank + ATM 💼 Work/business tool 💬 WhatsApp office 📸 Camera 🎬 Entertainment centre 🌐 Hotspot/router 🔐 Where almost everything is stored
So here's the real question:
If you had ₦500,000 to replace your phone today, would you spend the whole ₦500k on the phone — or buy a cheaper phone and use the remaining money for something else?
And please don't just mention the phone name.
Tell us the phone you're using + how much you bought it + how long you've used it.
Let's see which phones Nigerians are actually living with in 2026. 👇 |
