You guys speak without knowledge. The workers are simply fighting for their rights and capitalists like dangote would seek to make profits off the workers paying them stipends in return.
So many companies are preventing their workers from joining unions because they want to exploit the workers and pay them peanuts in return. It is a general practice worldwide that workers form unions to protect themselves from greedy capitalists.
Unionism is supposed to be by choice but Dangote took punitive measures against the workers that joined the union.
If workers don't defend their rights it would be a case of monkey dey work baboon dey chop which is the situation of Nigerian workers salaries and the salaries of our crooked politicians.

I think it's by choice to work with Dangote if he pay the workers stipend, nobody force them. I can't invest billions of dollars in a company, and some fools will come up with union of a thing, that's absord actually, besides Dangote petrochemical refinery is located in a free trade zone.
