When I wake up,I will be waking up to a new year

For me it will be a jan1 tomorrow
A new dawn beckons
A new beginning looms
As men write new resolutions for the year ahead
See people planning for the new year

For me a new year beckons
A year full of promises
A year of positivity
Were new dreams will be met
Were new songs will be sang

This year has in its kitty
Greatness, uplifts
I will hold stem and claim its riches in the wake of dawn
As the new year approaches my heart leaps for a new heart and a new love
My heart lungs to be with you the more
Its a new dawn


For me,I will not like to be told how 2012 ended
I will rather deprive my eyes sleep tonight
Rather than make merry into the new year
I will be in His presence thanking Him
For the journey so far
I will praise Him and eagerly let Him lead me into the new year
I will also await his blessings in the coming year
As the new year beckons so does my heart
