NYSCOgun 2013 Batch B Corpers Develops Nysc Ogun Saed Website On Orientation Camp by temitayoadegoke(op): 6:51am On Jul 11, 2013
The national youth service program have been ongoing for about four decades now. It has served as a stepping stone for young graduate preparing them for the ever competitive job market.

Over the years, however, it has been observed that many of this young graduate roam the street with files in search of white collar jobs for months or even years after there service year. Some of this ones venture into crime as a result of the frustration. To help curb this menace, the skills acquisition and enterpreneurship development (saed) programme was incorporated into the 3 weeks orientation scheme undertaking in all orientation camps across the nation.

At the ogun state orientation camp, the saed program began on tuesday 2nd july 2013. The nearly 2 weeks of lecture/training consisted of ten different sessions including cosmetology, art and craft, fashion designing, food processing, ICT and others. After the introduction of this session and the trainers, each corp member was encouraged to choose a particular skill acquisition programme and to participate fully throughout the course of the programme.

The ICT trainer, Mr Temitayo Adegoke through out the course of the training programme encouraged the corp member to look out for opportunities to make a living online. In addition to the training programme, the profile of the trainner was an additional source of motivation to the corp members. Although a graduate of microbiology, he has become very successful in the ICT field - proving the fact that anyone committed and innovative could be successful in ICT. Various practical session were carried out during the course of the training. A project was equally undertaking.

The project involved development of the ogun state saed website. www.nyscogunsaed.com It was carried out by both those who had a prior knowledge and those who had little or no knowledge of website development. This project was eventually completed and presented on Thursday 11th may 2013.

Other sections of the saed programme were equally doing very well as several corp members around the camp could be seen working on their products a few days to the presentation day. After a successful presentation of all the product, certificate were offered to the participants.

The saed programme has been a successful one. The motivational speeches, interactive and training sessions were very essential to the young graduate who will no longer have any allowance from the federal government after there one year of service. We hope that the young graduate will make a good use of the training they have obtained, courtesy of the saed programme and eventually become employers of labour, rather than job seekers.

COMMENTS
*If you have an internet-enabled camera

boring without one. You will like to take

need to be very vigilant and protective of
your things. If you feel you need a bulletproof
vest or helmet, please carry it. You know what
we mean, don’t you?
* Never, ever, ever run out of money! Bring as
much as you can afford.
* Mirrors and forks are known to be
contraband items in camp
* Prices of items apart from fast consumer
goods (Credit, Gala, Indomie etc) are usually
higher than those outside so it is advisable
you buy the things you can before going into
camp.
PACK AS LIGHT AS YOU CAN AND MAKE SURE
YOUR BOX IS AS THEFT-PROOF AS POSSIBLE.

Let me also tell you this, you may want to get more than one sim cards because mtn network especially is very bad on camp.

BusinessHow To Gain New Customers And Retain Existing Ones by temitayoadegoke(op): 4:14pm On Jun 04, 2013
It is very important that every business owners relate well with their customers, before and after they buy your goods and sevices. One very easy way to do this is bulk sms. Get the phone numbers of your customers/potential customers, then send them messages to welcome them into the new month, update them on the new goods and services you have on ground, just show some love regularly (but dont over do it so it wont become irritating.
-You can get this done by having a note in your store for anybody that visits your store/office/church to fill,
-then gradually build a list of prospects. (list building is a very important part of online business and it can be used to boost offline businesses too.)
-you can even include a column for their birth date in the form so you can send them messages on their birthday. (Who wont want to do business with someone who cared enough to send them birthday wishes)
- This is very cheap and easy to do compared to the amount of sales you will be making.
- You can register with a reliable, fast n cheap bulksms site eg diademsms.com who sells at N1 per unit, and upload the numbers and continually update the numbers with new prospects' numbers.
- Do not be too demanding or possesive in your messages, remember you are trying to convince them to buy from you. Dont do anything else than that.

Why do i need to do all this rubbish?

No matter the competition in the market, if you are able to win the heart of people, they will not only buy from you but also turn to your marketers (i have experienced this many times)

I dont have time for all this:
Infact, you dont need time, its simple. Get a list, upload the numbers and send messages, you dont need all the time for that. little things like this seperates successful people from unsuccessful people.

Try this for a month and see the difference.
