As I already read in your diary, you don't like pressures being mounted on you. So I won't start telling you nor reminding you that you can come up with the expected points.
But the fact is, you made A1 parallel in both WASSCE and NECO and even wrote 312 in JAMB even though you said you were sick few days to the exam.
You and I know you can trash not just the 95% but even the entire 100%.
And like you already said, the 95% isn't an official cut off mark for you, it's like an illustration so to say. Which means it may be way lower but regardless "YOU CAN DO IT MY PRINCESS".

You already know you are a smart, brilliant girl and a very rare prodigy.
But my dear, you are also a Nigerian. Not to look down on Nigerians because I'm Nigerian myself but to state the obvious. I am sorry to meddle with you affairs but I'm just concerned about your choice of course. Petrochemical Engineering, as reasonable as the course may seem and as saleable as it may seem, have you ever considered the possibility of getting a job in that field after all said and done? Especially as you are based in Nigeria? Have you ever considered what made your parents suggest MBBS to you? Your brilliance deserves a field where you could easily flourish in the absence of governmental opportunities. If you graduate as a Doctor for instance, you could either get a government job and in the absence of this, you can easily establish a private hospital and be the boss of yourself.
Have you ever thought of what other opportunities you can get into with 'Pet Engine' if Nigeria fails you? Personally, I think this your course of study isn't befitting enough. Outside the circle of passion and intentions lies reality. The reality will always play out.
I'm not meddling with your personal choices like I said nor am I forcing my opinions on you. This is what I would say to a sister and I don't think it's late.

First off, I am very grateful for your contribution Ma and it didn't ever cross my mind that you were/are meddling with my affairs. I am a minor that needs to be advised and guided through life.
I am happy I am getting all the chunks of recommendations I can possibly get.
To the main issue, my parents do not even support my decision to study an engineering course. As you already know, they prefer Medicine and Surgery which I actually chose even though the UTME subject combinations didn't seem right. My first choice is MBBS and the second being Petrochemical Engineering.
There are a lot of reasons I intended to study the latter but there is no reason boring you with the specifics. To cut to the chase, I love Medicine too like every child does but the only problem I have with it is that it seems to be too saturated and most of the resident Doctors I have met are all trying to find their ways out of this country.
To an extent, I feel I could bank on my possible best and get me a space with my performance in a petrochemical company as mostly done in some institutions. My parents already lectured me on the reality in this country and how most best-graduates aren't always retained these days as the circles of scholars are getting saturated by better and better geniuses. But by the time I was utterly convinced, I had already completed my registration and it was too late to change the subject combinations. Luckily, I still chose MBBS as first choice, which was supposed to be my own little way of impressing my parents. Turns out the act wasn't totally useless. My Mum being an academical Doctor, decided to speak with the people in her school ahead of time and they said if could attain a particular point, they will offer me the course despite the mistake she told them I made.
The only problem here is that, my own cut off mark will be different from others and it will even vary depending on how impressive it turns out. They aren't giving me any cutoff mark for now, but as they said, if the Post UTME's score could be a mind blowing one then they won't have a choice than to break protocols for my sake.
As it is, I may just have to work towards scoring above 95% so as to be able to impress the board, in which I do not know if I could get ordinary 50% even. That 95% isn't official tho, it's just an instance one of the men gave my mum.

Your words are really helpful and it is going to make me even try and do better.
I am honestly very grateful for your piece of advice.
