Not sure it works that way, don't forget this process is still a game of psychology.
If you must defer and apply while you're still here at all, then it shouldn't be that long.
However, I still think you should travel first and then apply for them it should be more guaranteed, (so far it's done the right way) or better still defer a semester while you apply for them already.

But 2 things are certain, you can easily go with your children first while hubby joins you and no2 you can all go too.. One is just more easier, I suppose from what have seen.

NB: I am not an expert oo

I need ur advice all. I received my study permit but i want to defer my admission to Jan 2021 in the interim I plan to apply for trv for my 2 kids and owp for my husband with my study permit. So we can all arrive Canada at the same time that’s the essence of me doing this. I will inform IRCC abt my admission deferal. What is the chance of approval
