Career › Re: Nigerian Banks To Start Mass Sacking Due To Naira Fall!! by tempest69: 7:08pm On Feb 27, 2015 |
Krucifax: Naira fall: Job losses imminent in banks
Indications emerged yesterday that banks in the country may consider retrenchment and other cost-cutting measures if nothing concrete is done to arrest the free fall of Naira due to Federal Government devaluation policy. This is just as the exchange rate of naira to a dollar remained at N215 at the black market in Lagos. Penultimate Wednesday, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) announced the closure of foreign windows in the country in order to save the nation’s economy from collapse due to the Naira fall. The policy was greeted with mixed feelings by experts and stakeholders in the nation’s economy. Our correspondent gathered that the downward swing of Naira in recent time is hitting the banks below the belt and would have no choice than to lay off some staff and cut some of their expenses in case the situation degenerates. It was further gathered that the cost-cutting measures would be necessary in order to pave way for the banks to remain afloat in business. President of the Association of Senior Staff of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institution (ASSBIFI), Comrade Sunday Salako told our correspondent that banks and other financial institutions in the country are not immune from the shocks created by the Naira fall. He said: “There is no way the Naira fall in the country will not affect the banks. Most of the banks in Nigeria also borrowed in foreign denominated currencies. They have to pay more in Naira now to service the loan because of the fall in Naira value. That will have a toll on the balance sheets of the banks.

They leaders can endorse GEJ for their pockets but definitely not d choice of the masses. Those are no longer representative of the common man. The difference is clear. APC go for town hall meeting with the common man while PDP visit self centered elders.

Celebrate bokoharam attacks by shouting "GEJ is Clueless, Our soldiers are weak and 6weeks is counting oh" What surprises me is the ease and unremorseful impunity at which Buhari and his supporters tell lies. You can never see any iota of morality in them, it's such a shame! If they tell you they represent change tell them to refute the attached picture. They said Buhari will take us back if elected President! Nigerians say it's a good decision to go back when you've lost your way on a 16yr PDP journey where our destination as a nation is no longer visible. Please, Buhari, take us back to the era where: 1. One Dollar was less than one Naira. It is incredible today! 2. Everything was on first come first serve basis. 3. There was zero tolerance for corruption. 4. Oil refineries in PortHarcourt, Warri & Kaduna were built & running at full capacity. 5. Anybody with questionable wealth was afraid to display it in public. 6. There was Zero tolerance for in discipline. Everything was in order 7. Nigeria had no debt at all. 8. Neglecting your children was a crime 9. Littering the public place was a crime 10. Twenty oil depots were built and functioning. 11 Western world can't interfere into our nation. 12. Chad invaded Nigeria, we sent them packing but did not harness their Land 13. Our economy was NOT running on generator 14. We can sleep with our eyes closed because we were secured. 15. Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia need not to set example on how to deal with drug pushers. 16. The Maitaseine Islamic Sect insurgency in the North was crushed on record time. 17. We want those days when Buhari was a military Governor but did not amass illegal wealth. 18. We want those days when Buhari was a Minister of Petroleum but did not hire a private jet for N10 billion. 19. We want those days when Buhari was a Head of State but did not loot the Treasury. 20. We want those days when Buhari was Head of PTF but did not steal the Fund even in the days of Abacha when stealing was the order of the day. Pls, Buhari & Osinbajo, take us BACK! We can't afford another 4yrs of waste in the hands of PDP!!! Take us BACK to the good old days of this our great nation. If you want this to happen, circulate the message!!! |

Politics › Re: Things We Need To Know Before Deciding Who To Vote For by tempest69: 3:05am On Feb 01, 2015 |
phemygee: My fellow Nigerians, I am not a politics freak neither an advocate of any party but seriously speaking, I can't just sit back and assume there is no need for my contribution to be read or heard. Thank God for this platform to express my thoughts. Before you decide to read this post, it's good to know that it's strictly for the sensible ones and not politics fanatics. Election is just 13days around the corner and come to think of it, nobody has ever thought of this or let me say many have thought about these things i am about to share but they turned deaf attention to it. Firstly, we all know that our dear country Nigeria needs to be transformed in some areas. Frankly speaking, what we need is not a change but a transformation. Permit me to say Nigerians wants a change but change is not a drastic thing as we thought. I feel the change we are all clamouring is not the real change rather it is a means to unseat PDP from the presidential seat that they have occupied for some years or for some ulterior reasons, that’s all. If truly we need change, then I strongly believe there should also be a change in power in Lagos State from APC to PDP but the question is; will APC ever agree we also need a change in Lagos State and some other states? Secondly, whenever APC members defect to PDP, APC labels it as power drunk members and all sort of words. Watch out for PDP members that defected to APC, they don’t loud it the way APC does rather they handle it in-house. I remembered that thousands of PDP members defected to APC, some s0-claimed party members who are known for being corrupt yet they were welcome by the APC. My questions are: Is it that APC have a restoration plan in place to cleanse them off from the corrupt tag on them? Will APC use the blood of Jesus to wash them? What is their plan for these people? For the sake of we Nigerians, politicians will always be politician irrespective of their party. POLITICS simply means POLY-TRICKS (many tricks) and that’s the reason why we need to transform this country. Remember I said change is not a drastic thing. Thirdly, remove insecurity from GEJ’s tenure, seriously I see no reason why this man should be heavily criticized. It’s just so unfortunate that the “Boko Boys” has promised by the Unknown has caused setback to our dear country and many of us will never see anything good from what he has done. Sorry to say this, some countries live with terrorism but it’s so sad that we are experiencing it at the wrong time because it wasn’t so from the beginning. United we must move this country forward not watching the country being ripped apart all because someone want to use it to campaign against his/her opponent. Is that the change we need? Fourthly, I sat myself down and asked this: Why would someone who was defeated the first, second and third time still interested in contesting for the fourth time? Though I couldn’t find a reasonable to it. It’s rather unfortunate that we have allowed religious sentiments to intrude into the affairs of this great country. Where is not the hope of “Our Leaders of Tomorrow”? If Gov. Fashola could admit that Agbaje is too old to rule Lagos state, please reasonable fellows, what message is that to our APC Presidential Candidate? Even if we are clamouring for a change, I strong agree GMB is not an Option. Only the reasonably ones will digest these few out of many points before commenting…. Vote Wisely…. your intro sounds neutral but yet u show where u belong. TANOID! PDPrick........... |
