We both have the same problem....
Lack of focus and motivation, information overload.... You look around and you see so many good things out there, the money and value attached, u feel like trying everything that u can but it's not possible.....

I want you to think of your future... Where do you see urself in 20yrs time..... Is it in a company or a remote location with lots of computers and writing codes and the prestige to speak at seminars on programming.... Or do you see urself as a lead engineer in a firm giving presentations and showing your expertise...... Or maybe deep within you... U truly want to be a chef angry grin grin

Then look at where you are now..... What skills do you have... What skills do you really need... What skills do you THINK you need and what skills will you have to drop even after acquisition ( like me.. I learnt digital marketing but the only thing I enjoy is the analysis part)....

Then I want you to connect the dots...... Skills are just ur vehicles to financial freedom.... If you want to go to the US now... You would probably trek to ur gate.... Take a taxi to the airport and take a flight via aeroplane..... All these are just vehicles....

Maybe you want to start a business in the future.... And you need money then choose a comfortable skill/skills that would get you there....
Always think long term.... Like they thought me in school... In the short term.. some factors are constant.. e.g poverty... Just because you are making a few bucks now doesn't mean ur rich... It just means ur afloat... While in the long run everything is variable... The poor man can become very rich and vice versa....

But remember you may also want some skills not because of the money but the prestige attached to it...(Just like programming...)

There are lots of questions you have to ask yourself.... This is a very personal decision that takes years to answer a little bit of it..... As after some time your taste will change....
Thank you so much brother. I really do appreciate this. I think I will take the programming. Thank you so much sir

Good morning all. I'll be graduating dis year (by October). I'm considering taking a course on programing (php, html, etc). I'm really finding it difficult to figure out my talent as I'd like to work with that. Academically, I'm average.

Before my admission into higher institution, I took an ict course on Cisco netwroking (CCNA) which till date, I've never applied that anywhere nor can I still remember exactly what was taught. My fear right now is taking another ict course that I do not know if I'll use again.

My course of study is a complete different ball game as it is petroleum related (Petroleum Engineering).

Honestly speaking, I'm having phobia for this after school question "WHAT NEXT?". I wanna belive my own case will be different. I've gone for a job interview on which I'm still expecting feeback HR for long. Business wise, I'm not exactly so good.

Pls, advice this young fellow on what exactly to do. Thank you.

I'm currently 25yrs and in Delta State. Pls ignore any error found as I'm not using a good phone
