TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by TENTENTEN: 9:29pm On Sep 16, 2024
Thank you so much for the reply.
I am going to be posting my prepared interview answers I have for now and would like you to review it. Is there anything I should and shouldn't say, or I am already saying too much. Every input will be worked on. Thank you.

Why are you here?
* I am here to be interviewed for my student visa so I can proceed to study for my masters degree in business administration at saint Mary’s university of Minnesota
What did you study?
I studied Mass communication specialized in Public relations and advertising from Babcock University
Why should I issue you this visa
* I am committed to enhancing my skills and knowledge in business administration to contribute to my family's business in Nigeria. The specialized education I will receive in the US will equip me to lead our company towards digital transformation and increased competitiveness.
Why do you want to go to the US for college
* I do want to be equipped with the knowledge and skill set to run my mother’s business when she retires. She wants to retire in 4 years.(the program runs for 3 years)I want to be able to lead the business to the next level especially in the digital space.
Why did you choose this course /college
* Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota has an outstanding curriculum in Business Administration and Management, ranked highly for its facilities and faculty. The program’s focus on modern business practices and digital marketing is exactly what I need for my future role. The proximity to my family also ensures I have a strong support system while I study.
Where do you intend to live ?
* I intend to live on campus on the weekday and spend the weekend with my brother and his spouse.
Do you have relative in the US?
* Yes I have an elder brother
What is his status?
* He is a US citizen and comes back to Nigeria from time to time. He is a stakeholder at the Organization.
How are you planning to finance your education?
A: My education will be financed primarily by my mother, who owns a successful food distribution business in Nigeria, with additional support from my brother. The company’s strong financial position and my family's commitment ensure that I have sufficient funds to cover my tuition, living expenses, and other costs while studying in the US.
what is the profession of your sponsor?
A: My mother is the owner of one of the largest food distribution company in our state with.… warehouse that delivers all over the country The company has substantial annual revenue and collaborates with major businesses like Obasanjo Farms and Tropical General Investment Group. My brother works as an IT Project Manager at xxxx, adding to the financial support system for my education.
Do you plan on working while you are studying in the US?
A: While I am allowed to work part-time on campus, my primary focus will be on my studies. If I find an opportunity to work on campus, I will consider it to gain additional experience and support my academic journey.
Do you have a job or career in mind post-graduation?
A: After graduation, I plan to return to Nigeria to take over and expand my mother’s food distribution business. My goal is to implement advanced digital strategies and modern business practices to enhance our competitive edge and drive growth. This aligns with my long-term career aspirations and commitment to my family.

OyoTunjiUSA:
Hey 🤠

1. You should be able to achieve your desired dates ( perhaps, Nov/Dec, 2024) with the new -three (3) lifelines (2x reschedule , 1x Expedient appointment) provided by the embassy.

2. Your current January , 2024 date will not disappear or annulled automatically, by mere clicking on reschedule, not, until you finally pick and click on another date, and the system automatically refreshed in confirmation of your new pick. Therefore, you can click on the reschedule option 100 times and back off ( if there is no favourable dates in the previewed calendar).

3. For now till end of October, you should keep using the reschedule option to search for nearer dates, in which i believe you should achieve prior to the given time . There is no official or authorised Nairaland Date-search group known to me as at this moment.

Best Wishes 🙏

Good afternoon everyone, please I kindly need answers

I have currently applied for an F1 visa and have been scheduled for 7th January but my school resumes 6th. I would like to confirm if I can click on reschedule on the new site incase I get to see a closer date luckily. It shows that I have 2 reschedules. Now my question is this, if I click on the reschedule, will it annul the date that has already been confirmed (7th) or should I wait and apply for an emergency date? I am in a pickle right now and would really appreciate any help in moving forward. THANK YOU.

@OyoTunjiUSA I would really appreciate your input sir.

Also if there is any group where we try to find dates or just any group in general that is F1 based, kindly reply to this so I can get to join. THANK YOU.
