Most of these players are no longer the ones that made us Happy in the 90s. Oyo for who wan gbe mata sori like say they get best interest of SE at heart. Once we exhaust the 90s set in this coaching debacles, i wonder who they'll start with from the 2000s 😆

Amunike has not just been a coach but has worked multiple times as a consultant to FIFA and CAF committees. None of the players are qualified coaches, so that point is irrelevant. The debate is who is best qualified between Amunike or Finidi. Anyone saying Finidi is just being biased. Any other tale is fantasy.

Dear respected Goodjoe,
There are better coaches than ETH and united went for him, Arsenal sacked "good ebening" who is best qualified for Arsenal job to appoint a "novice" in Arteta. Ivory Coast sack a "world class" coach who is more qualified for the job for a relatively unknown Fae. Let's die this talk of someone is more qualified.

Amunike won us U17, Finidi gave Enyimba Npfl - the two aint easy to achieve. With Amunike's vast knowledge in football tactics i hope he will get a job soon to show Nff what they are missing and with George still learning through the rope i hope he can convince some people that he's well loaded.

May Finidi George succeed,
May Emmanuel Amunike get the chance to coach eagle one day.

I don’t care even if he has it or not

Because I’m not sold on any our local coaches at all

No matter who they picked as long as it’s a local coach expect haram football for the next 4 years

You can’t tell me we should pick coaches that players are even more exposed to modern football than the coaches themselves

At the bolded, Rohr is not local neither Josē and what did they gave Us?

All you sad here are mere story. If Nigeria is too small for Amunike, I believe there should be a club somewhere in Africa he can manage with all his UEFA Pro, MSc, MBBs,MBA and PhD.

Man has been out of job for how many years now? Man is just lazy. Nothing else. No matter how brilliant you are, you need experience and qualifications to speak for you.

With His MBBS, I think he will be a good replacement for Erik at manchester united 😂

Two things costed amuneke d job from what I learnt during space conversation

1) forceful pr(wc amunike was unaware; ppu really wanted amunike to take over but unfortunately,d same ppu ousted him out of d job ..I would liken amunike fans like d obidients (Dey can be very toxic at times).during d space ,Collin said top nff officials became scared dt person wey we neva give d job don Dey pressure us,what if he finally lands d job, what will happen

2) continuity and time frame of d next crucial World Cup qualifier

No coach, whether foreign or local or even the best world classs coach will be able to impact his football knowledge on how he wants his team to play within 3 -4(max) training sessions b4 d SA GAME.coupled with the precarious situation we re,

Hence d gamble on finidi to continue as d head coach since he has been with the team for over twenty months now.we can’t deny d fact dt he knows the team more Dan any of d candidates who applied (dts obvious anyway).

Not dt finidi is better Dan amuneke or oda candidates who applied

My verdict..

We av no choice now Dan to support finidi to succeed as the head coach.it will b disastrous to miss the World Cup back to back .

If coach elyte "the katikati ball master" can say the bolded then we just have to support George

Why CAF refused Finidi, assistant to sit on bench in both matches — CAF Security Head

The People’s Elephant crashed out of the competition 4-3 on aggregate to Libya’s Al-Ahly Benghazi without their two coaches on the sidelines.

Emeruwa, who’s also a FIFA Security Officer, explained that Finidi and his Assistant do not have the required licences to sit on the bench in both fixtures despite both coaches possessing a UEFA A and UEFA C licences respectively.

“CAF intention is to raise the standard of coaching education in Africa, this is why to be on the bench for CL you either have a CAF A License or UEFA Pro license. Or other sister Confederation Pro licence while the assistants are to have a minimum of CAF B which unfortunately Finidi and his assistants do not have in this case.”

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/08/why-caf-refused-finidi-assistant-to-sit-on-bench-in-both-matches-caf-security-head/

Which of the two licenses is superior over the other?

alaye ur questions don dey too much. Why Nigeria is playing in a uefa competition I can't say because I don't work at the NFF. I only shared information that is available as seen on their social media handle and based on the post you first quoted, the controversy that ensued after NFF's statement. These are links to go through on this issue
https://www.google.com/amp/s/soccernet.ng/2024/04/nigerias-u15-participation-in-uefa-u16-development-tournament-dashed-due-to-spanish-visa-issue.html/amp

The bolded is not even difficult, Don't we have other continent team now participating in the South America version of our own nations cup. Though nothing official about that but with our experience at that level they might decide to invite us.

These guys are clowns mostly. I guess he got fed up cos they were many that stray bullet met the innocent ones too via block button. They need to chill too. It was also most of them that were shouting and analyzing about Local coaches for Super Eagles. Some are obstinate and waiting for the "i told you so" moment. They can't even see the records

If it's one "Gloria Adeola Ifunaya" do you think he will still be our coach after the Nations cup outing in Morocco ?..

The performance at the nations cup, is it worthy of a criticism?...

The same set of journalist, are they not the one calling out NFF for delaying his contract renewal? We have many here that think a college coach doesn't deserve to coach the great SF after that NC too.
We should be factual with ourselve.

I think the criticism then were right, and RW is right for coming out now.. it has been in his mind for so long and what a better to come out than after qualifying your team for the Olympic.

What I’m only saying by merely looking at our league and at our u-23- u20 and u-18

We no get coach for Nigeria make everybody rest
We get coach, just that NFF are found of employing wrong hand.

Fidelix Ilechukwu are better coach than all our underaged coach but he's not one of NFF resident coaches.

I disagree. As long as the coach keeps building the national team, he can get a synergy for a possessive pattern.

According to You it takes time that's why Tanzania wasn't able to play possessive football at 2019 AFCON.

Let's assume He get the SE job now.. In 2years time player are still learning the art, in 4years time player are getting used to the philosophy then boom 4-6 players of the current squad are no more in their prime then we'll bring another 6 that will be learning the philosophy. When is the team going to reap from the whole thing ?

It's not a must we play tiki-taka sir

When finidi relocated to 9ja from Spain after his coaching certification and temporary work with Betis he tried getting the u17 job but when it didn’t work baba came down from his high horse after many tries and settled with Enyimba

Today he is the favorite to emerge as the next assistant coach of the super eagles and coach of the chan eagles

I believe Amuneke’s problem is ego. He should swallow his bride and take a job in any of the NPFL clubs

If the CV of those that applied for super eagles job are made open I won’t be surprised to see that his is the poorest.

mk we hear word abeg. Who get time to dey wait for players to absorb the Philosophy of a coach in international football

It can only work when 50% of a team’s players are assemble from a particular club. A good example is Spain’s euro and World Cup winning squad

Amuneke should take up a job in any of our local clubs or in the continent to perfect what ever coaching philosophy he believes in rather than sit idle waiting and lobbying for super eagles job when he has done nada to justify that he is good for a job of such magnitude

Finidi was considered to be good enough to assist Jpes because of his exploits with Enyimba and currently pencilled down to serve in the same capacity with the next coach as well as head the coaching crew of the Chan eagles. By so doing he is gradually been groomed to take over the post of head coach of the super eagles in the nearest future

I bet you that if Finidi happen to do wonders in the super eagles with the incoming coach as well as do well with the chan team he stands a better chance coaching the super eagles in the future than Amuneke who’s presumed philosophy and expertise is only on paper

U shared the same classroom with the best graduating student of your set in uni no mean say u sabi book 😏

That is even the reason why we need someone who can keep the team learning the philosophy in years. Not viewing it per game. Every time the players are in camp, they keep learning. They keep growing and understanding it.

Also it requires players that naturally connect with the system. Just as we saw with Taminu.

It is better than getting a coach based on CV that does cut and join process and after years, you will see that the team has not grown.

The bolded is only possible if we have a coach with the same philosophy for all the age grade teams too.
