That Lekki toll gate gives Lagos an average of N25m a day or N750m a month. As 250,000 vehicles pass there daily to and fro and if they pay an average of N100 it gives N25m a day or N750m a month.
The Lekki Ikoyi Bridge Toll gate has an average of 50,000 vehicles per day usage and they pay higher.
An average of N300 per vehicle there gives you N1.5m per day or N450m per month. Mind you more than half of the vehicles that use the bridge are high paying jeeps.
Together just these two toll gates gives Lagos more than a billion per month. And this is more than the internally generated revenue for some states.
I wonder if this hidden income is even calculated as part of Lagos state revenue or siphoned straight into people's pockets.
Only God knows the answer.

the ugly truth is we can't. We don't have the technological knowhow to create things but to use them. Our educational system is designed in such a way that we cant produce but to depend on what is produced from our colonial masters land. The logic is if we produce what we need how will their economy survive? These guys have asked themselves these questions long before we were even given independence.
