Well, he has given his own account of the event that lead to his wife's death. What is very glaring in his narrative was the fact that, she had a complicated induction causing a rupture of her uterus.
This is a very serious medical emergency which should have been managed without wasting any time.
In this current dispensation, specialist Drs are not too many in the country and you shouldn't have expected a consultant to have all his time and attention alloted to your psn. This could explain why the Consultant wasn't on ground to monitor that labour.
My question now is, there was a midwife and a senior medical officer on duty and also, you as a patient relative is an experience nurse anaesthetist as you claimed to be , why didnt you all diagnose uterine rupture early before the consultant came? Probably you didn't trust the opinion and suggestion of that SMO because you felt he had nothing to offer.
Secondly, in a case of uterine rupture with all the glaring signs of which you mentioned a few in your narrative, for instance, you claimed her veins collapsed and she had a near syncope. These were tell tale signs of massive hyaemodynamic collapse which should have prompted any Dr or even a nurse to consider resuscitation with blood and fluid management even before the consultant arrival.
You are a JW. As you claimed, now did you approve the option of blood transfusion? Without it, the Dr truly wouldn't be able to save that woman no matter his level of expertise.

Jehova witness people don't approve of blood transfusion under any circumstance.

I’m asking you again. At what point did the hospital provide appropriate care to the wife and all that was left to save her was a blood transfusion which he then refused? Did that happen? No.

Since it didn’t happen, you’re simply saying just because he doesn’t believe in blood transfusions he deserved the death of his wife even though she died from mismanagement and not a lack of transfusion when needed.

madam, when I read the opening sentence and the guy said he was a jehova witness and wanted a bloodless delivery, I didn't bother continuing reading the story because I knew it would end up in tragedy. And I heard CS, I say the story wount end well.
I am not a doctor, don't have certificate in any medical field. The man should take his case to the medical council, I wish him all d best.

Nothing in his posts suggests that a blood transfusion could have saved his wife and he refused. Everything that led to her death was due to mismanagement of the woman’s case by the hospital staff.

my wife gave birth through CS. And it was the major requirement. Once I provided it, my wife was wheeled into the theatre immediately. And it was in one of the best hospitals in abuja.
Whether they use the blood or not is another is another issue, but it has to be there in case they need it.

Well, as a doctor, I have these points to drop

1. As a JW, he has the full right to reject anything blood, but he can still perform surgeries on his wife and allow blood substitutes like tothema

2. The so-called Gynecologist/obstetrician made some errors. Pre-labour rupture of membranes in a multigravid without any obvious sign of contraction, with an estimated birth weight of 3.9kg is a very clear indication of CS until proven otherwise. I am not a gynae bit I have entered theatre many times so I know this.

3. Never mess with medical personnel. Some of them DO know their onions. This anaesthetist nurse knows the fulk BLS protocol of resuscitation.

4. It's so painful that this young man lost both mother and baby on the same day. R-jolad should really scrutinize the kind of medical practitioners they employ. The bereaved should take the matter to MDCN disciplinary committee for further action.

5. May God comfort the bereaved. Ọmọ this one hit home

Seems u are a witness or u don't know those guys. People that will be taken to hospital emergency ward with broken bones and blood gushing out and still refuse blood transfusion. Why go to the hospital? They should take them to their kingdom hall for treatment
