I mostly championed Barkley in comparison to RLC. Barkley had a great promise as a kid in Everton producing 16g+a & getting nominated among top promising young players. Hasnt been up to pa since injury & He’s very match rusty now. We got him for 15m with little expectations & nobody wanted him including me.

Whereas Kovacic came with much expectations & hype even as he’s not known to have champion his team to top victory in league, UCL or his country. 3 midfielders started last season for us, 2 was nominated by both FIFA & UEFA while Kovacic was no where present.

If you play ordinary Five side before you will find it very hard to use moments like this to call a player ESCORT. Except on a very rare occasion would any player in the position of RLC would have out pace Dacoure whose teammate was with the ball. It is just a normal thing in football, if we go back in time searching for this kind of instances,I bet you even most of our favourites will be found wanting, so that's why it is good to always call out players on their inability to make use of the ball not missing a tackle or a runner. You can never find me calling Jorginho or any player an escort, it senseless in my view.

There’s a reason why we started conceding since RLC. If you cant make use of the ball on your feet, Atleast be useful somewhere else. I showed two instances last night not only that one. \YOu are being diingenous fella. Taking a still picture from that dangerous Everton counter attack. RLC was the midfielder in the Chelsea attack that preceeded that moment. For him to have covered ground and been back where he is in the still picture, he must have been busting a gut or two.

If you noticed Jorginho was too exhausted as well. It’s like TT instructed Barkley to play CM but very high up the pitch (like AM)
