The First Berlin-Lagos Archival Film Festival (DECASIA) being hosted by the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) in partnership with the German Government will commence on Thursday, October 24.

The event happening at the Corporation’s Lagos office along Obalende-Ikoyi Road will end on Sunday, October 27. It will feature the daily screening of films that deploy archival footages to drive their narratives.

NFC’s Head of Public & Intergovernmental Affairs, Brian Etuk, explained that the festival’s objective is to sustain the global conversation on the impact of digital technologies. It will also examine the relationship between archives and festivals.

The draft National Film Archive Policy and update on ZUMA Film Festival 2019 taking place in Abuja in December will be presented during the festival.

Kunle Afolayan's New Movie, The Citation Explores Sexual Harassment in University

Star Director, Kunle Afolayan has disclosed that his next film #TheCitation will be shot across three countries including Nigeria, Senegal and Cape Verde.

The new movie, written by Tunde Babalola, would be directed by the veteran actor himself — who will act as the director and producer simultaneously.
Nigerian filmmaker, says his upcoming movie ‘Citation’ would explore the prevalence of sexual harassment in higher institutions.

He said the recent BBC documentary — ‘Sex For Grades’ — by Kiki Mordi was indicative of the extent to which the scourge has taken root on campuses
