i've been experiencing mine for over a week sholikay: |
I don't know if i'm the only one that has noticed paypal doesn't favour Nigerians and they are in no way back to Nigeria. What i actually needed from Paypal was the payment link. That link is just secure. Doesn't contain your personal details like name, email or address. Just like buy me a coffee and the rest. I tried getting a wema bank mastercard to input my Nigerian Details to it because of course it won't allow any address foreign to Nigeria. I linked this card and it was successful. Only for me to fund with this card and it started giving me error messages on any site i used it on. And of course you can't link it to any bank. All my worry of waiting for more than a month to get a mastercard was pretty much useless. Then i went on to research for a platform where we Nigerians can receive payments from anywhere. I saw that we already have this payment link and we are just use to seeking for household names...like paypal, stripe, and the rest. I saw that this is also open to Africans, usa and uk. Multicurrency platform supporting payment processors like mastercard, visa, gpay, apple pay, verve, mpesa, amex klarna, stripe and even paypal. Transaction fees are less than all the favourite payout platforms...like paypal, patreon, gumroad and the rest. Fans and donors can send straight and it appears in your ngn account as payout after 24 hrs, they don't need to sign up on the site before paying and i can even adjust the settings for my supporters to pay transaction fees if i want. I can conceal my name on the check out page, customize my name on the url. No need for LTD, LLC or business account to be able to operate it like how stripe does so they end up freezing people's money. ![]()

You're welcome. You have to ask them to send it to a company you know or MOE. I've talked on this issue a lot. You can check my signature for more insight. Darien4: |
There's a better way to get money in over six currencies including pounds and dollars. Paypal scraps 5% off before conversion even. So its not wise to use it Elslim: |
I noticed that sterlingbank, onebank allows you open a dorm account. Even a new account without 1 naira from your room. Wema once had an offer like this but not anymore LordReed: |
That's impressive coming from your school. Thelife: |
You can access that without VPN. By the way Patreon is only enjoyable for big creators. Your subscribers will have to create an account before tipping you. I would be making a video on an alternative i already sourced for it. IMAliyu2: |
You can't verify your account as a nigerian |
But this is easy to do online by just going to the website. I even made a video on it. |
ok LordReed: |
LOL! why do you say it's for the poor? FitCorper: |
Just read Realist5: |
Funny enough I use UBA and haven't come across any form of interest on my dollar account like it does for the naira. So, you're right. However, I made a video but specifically about "one bank'' in Nigeria. I would also inquire about their interest rate. By the way, what bank do you use? Kaa4: |
Many people confuse domiciliary accounts and dollar accounts, but they serve different purposes in Nigeria. A dollar account is essentially a foreign currency account—specifically in US dollars. These accounts gained traction after the CBN limited forex transactions. They’re usually tied to fintech platforms like Flutterwave, Grey, Geekpay, and Clever, and often come with a US-based debit card containing a US address, making them ideal for digital, flexible, and virtual transactions. On the other hand, domiciliary accounts are more traditional. They allow you to save and withdraw in foreign currency, but typically require more paperwork and documentation. They’re usually tied to physical banks—like my bank, UBA, and others—giving you a traditional, in-person option for international trade or cash withdrawals. So, if you’ve been hearing both terms, now you see the key differences!

What is this Nerd clearance about? What does it have to do with intended NYSC candidates? Does it affect people who have finished NYSC? It is mandatory ![]() |
And Praise the lord, one can now share their WAEC to WES instead of going all the way to WAEC head office for them to mail it. All on the WAEC APP. |
Accessing the digital certificate is now easy but can be authenticated at MOE?
|
Wow. I'm happy to get your feedback. Never knew this. Thank you for your contribution. Fretchy: |
But the ministry of education is authenticating the digital copy right? Fretchy: |
ICAP. Do everything at once Pay4MeApp: |
Hi everyone! I know a lot of people on Nairaland are asking how to recover their WAEC candidate numbers or waec certificate, especially after losing certificates or being scammed. Everything is now digitized, so it's easier than ever to access your number. Just go to waec.org to get it. No need for shady middlemen. I'd also love to hear from anyone else who’s had success or any other tips they’ve got. Let’s keep it open and helpful for everyone!

You can get your waec certificate online now. No need for all this stress. You can even recover the candidate number even when you can't retrieve it. This things have been digitized. Fretchy: |

I miss their barter card. The interesting thing about them for me is the ease to set up a support link just like paypal. |
I just wanted to walk you guys through how I changed my BVN phone number after it stopped working. I know a lot of us assume we can do it online, but trust me—you can’t. I had a 9mobile number that completely failed to send me OTPs. Now, 9mobile rebranded to T2mobile and moved onto MTN’s network, and even after I tried reconfiguring my SIM, I still couldn’t get the OTPs. That’s when I decided to go to the bank, and let me tell you—it was so much easier than I thought. I didn't need any newspaper or NIN steps beforehand. I just went in, filled out a simple customer update form, gave a fingerprint, and in less than 48 hours—boom—my number was updated. Now, every time I need an OTP for anything tied to my BVN, it comes straight to my new number—such a breath of fresh air! So, I really want to stress this: don't wait. CBN has a policy that says you can only change your BVN phone number once in your lifetime, so you need to do it before May 1st. If anyone else has had the same struggle, I’d love for you to share your story too—just so we all know this process can be easy if you take that step. Good luck, everyone—don't wait!

That's good. How did you get the notification that your school sent it? Were you informed on the site? If you can snap the notification to update us that will be nice 👍🏽 Thelife: |
YES, you need to click upload document after uploading. Please keep sharing your experience especially after this stage. When they get back to you, could you let us know at what stage your school engages on this online authentication process? Thanks Thelife: |
