MorataFC: How can someone be a man u fan and hated Bruno, unless the person is an aro patient. Going by your comment, Trevor012 is the res identtt mǎ..aà..ddd mañ on the United thread. That niĩ,,qqa has a long history of hæting on Bruno. Man even went as far as suggesting that Bruno breaking the assists record was largely due to Man Utd’s attackers finishing well instead of Bruno’s brilliance. The guy is a du…ñce. |

Bombblacks: It's 90% always true. A good coach raises the level of his players. 90%… So, not always true. My point is that there’s a limit to which a good coach will raise the limit of his players. Another example- Kierra McKenna is back in the EPL again with Ipswich Town after relegating last season. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t stand in danger of getting relegated again next season. His squad is good enough for the Championship, not the EPL. If Ancelotti, Pep or any other top top gaffer take over the Ipswich job, expecting them to qualify for Europe will be a tall order. There’s always a limit to which a good coach can raise the level of his team. |

Reinforce squad. Buy more better players, una say no.
“The squad is good enough to beat Wolves”. But ordinary Brighton Team B is flogging you in your home under a different manager.

nitrogen: Honestly, everything you say here is still around the fact that we sacked this guy. Reason you keep bringing up these excuses and continue to wish failure on the team. Nawa o. Poppycock. My point has always been that we need to fortify our team first before we can hope for success— irrespective of who the manager is. We don sack managers tire but things keep going from bad to worse. It’s clear that changing managers alone is not the solution. |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TheLequte: 10:11pm On Jan 11 |
nitrogen: Haha, competent indeed! Competent because the manager is finding ways to win games without a proper DM. Old Gundogan and Bernardo, old and injury prone Kovacic. You wont admit that having a better manager is a big deal. Continue! Pep didn’t get it right until they signed new players in January actually. That’s in spite of the boku midfielders he had. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TheLequte: 9:54pm On Jan 11 |
adisaaowala: And most importantly, they have a talented coach that knows how to get the best from non-worldies like Nico, a washed up/injury ravaged Gundogan + Winger cum Midfielder Bernado Silva to get results - an aspect that can never be overemphasised!
If na this place, na so so excuses we go dey hear from peeps like you
We are not competing in Europe. We are currently out of both local cups.
The current squad is good enough to achieve a decent finish in the league, pending the next TW when hopefully, we wouldnt have to rush and overpay for anybody again K The same Pep that his season fell apart because he lost Rodri 😭 |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TheLequte: 9:50pm On Jan 11 |
nitrogen: These guys are not DMs. Only Nico. Pep that has improvised many times because no replacement for Rodri, and you don’t see him and the fans complaining that there is hole in the midfield. City’s midfield was already competent. They had Kovacic, Kalbin Philips, Gundogan and even Bernardo Silva before Rodri got injured. Did that stop him from getting Nico? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TheLequte: 9:48pm On Jan 11 |
nitrogen: Did Utd not spend 50-60m on a keeper recently? And another 30m on another keeper afterward? Despite not playing consistently in the UCL. When was the last time United made a mistake in the TW and correct it the next window? Even the Onana that you mentioned served us premium shege for at least 2 years before he was put out of his misery. And he cost us 43m GBP. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TheLequte: 9:45pm On Jan 11 |
adisaaowala: Is Nico Gonzalez anywhere near Rodri in terms of Talent?
If we were the ones that bought Nico and struggled, people like you would rush here to claim that the action is similar to replacing Pirlo with Olofinjana
Abi no be this thread again? How many midfielders are close to Rodri in terms of talent? They knew they can’t replace Rodri. But with their situation at that time, they knew they had to bring in some reinforcements. Your squad is thin. Your main players get injured and you are arguing against bringing in reinforcements. Lol. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TheLequte: 9:42pm On Jan 11 |
nitrogen: These are not direct Rodri replacements na. Nico Gonzalez is a midfielder. He was bought to fill Rodri’s shoes. Pep also brought back Gundogan the previous summer. Last TW he bought 2 attacking midfielders in Tijani and Cherki. Bernardo Silva can be phased out in peace. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by TheLequte: 9:31pm On Jan 11 |
nitrogen: Who is Trafford?
What about your Onana that you guys clamoured for and celebrated his signing? James Trafford. Outstanding young goalie with a bright future. After 2-3 games Pep was not convinced by him and they immediately bought Donnaruma. Combined 60m on GK department. In one TW.

Jamiuokolaa: If it was Man utd that had Rodri and didnt replace him despite his injuries, it would have been singled out as the reason why we cant keep up with top teams.
Abi no be this thread again Why didn’t City fold their arms after that Rodri injury and expect Pep to use Kovacic and Kalvin Phillips to turn their consecutive losses into wins? Why did they go all out that January and buy Nico Gonzalez and co?

MorataFC: The guy is a habitual contrarian who nitpicks every single post.
Saka alone had 11 touches in their box in less than 15 minutes , I was like, is Liverpool on red card?🤷 Best to ignore that one. He’s always looking for attention. Saka danced around their entire defense to create just one chance that didn’t connect. That dribble alone, he’d have touched the ball at least 6 times. |
