Exclusive: Just heard from Osimhen's camp.

He wants to keep on wearing the mask as a trademark.

Possibly for rest of career.
TheLoneCitizen:

One of the reasons Osimhen did this was because the club's management adviced him that a mask will increase his popularity and marketability.

Osimhen will also use this as negotiation bargain for salary in his next club.
May 2023

"Ahli's proposal 🇸🇦 for #Osimhen includes a release clause that could be activated only after two seasons from the possible arrival of the #Napoli striker in Saudi Arabia.

The clause is less than 50M"

This is too good a deal

Scoring just one goal 🥅 in the AFCON is not a hallmark of consistency.

You have a point, big man.

But he has one of the best scoring rates in international football

so if osimhen happen to be your younger brother u go advise to turn down the Saudi offer and move to chelsea?😏😊

100%.

You don't need all the money in the world.
You just need enough.
Osimhen is currently earning way more than enough.

Osimhen at Chelsea will earn more than what Ighalo earned in China.
Guess what?
Ighalo, at the end of his career, still took a 40% pay cut to come to United.

Osimhen at Chelsea will earn more than what Saint-Maximin earned in Saudi. Guess what?
Maximin reduced his salary by half and ran to Fenerbahce at the first opportunity.

Osimhen at Chelsea will earn around the same thing Jordan Henderson earned in Saudi. Guess what?
Henderson ran back to Ajax in 6 months, reducing his salary by 70%.

Osimhen at Napoli is currently earning almost three times what big boy Ighalo earned in Saudi Arabia, don't be a helmet.

My friend shut up you just buttressed my point. Your claim All which happened in one season (2022/23 season) and has never been replicated. If he goes to Saudi, that’s his reputation. A one season wonder that performed for a season and decided to run away to chase money. If osimehn knows what’s good for him, he better accept that CHELSEA deal because he has the potential to surpass drogba based on his antecedents

The last sentence is a banker.

Drogba's success overshadowed by Mourinho.
Salah's success overshadowed by Klopp.
Haaland's success overshadowed by Pep.

Osimhen is going to Chelsea as a king, no blockbuster manager to contend with.
His ceiling is mega high.

Add to that, he's one of the most consistent players at national level.
Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheLoneCitizen(m): 7:40pm On Aug 28
52 billion naira a year is crazy blood money though.

That's like a country's GDP in your bank account.

However having said this.
30m is not game-changing money.

Haaland in the Premier League earns 19.5 million, Salah earns 18.2m, De Bruyne 20m.

Move to Chelsea, break records and the oil money will never stop chasing you.

In fact, a legacy at Chelsea will see him earn these figures post-retirement

your 3rd point says it all. ADL is desperate and this is the reason why many clubs refused over bidding for Osimhen in this current TF window

Napoli are trying all they can to let him go because of the senseless contract extension they gave him last season and on the player’s part he has got nothing to lose knowing fully well that at worst he will remain in Naples for just a season, pocket his fat wages then move to any club of his choice next summer for free

Also this is the reason why ADL hv accepted his loss by slashing the player’s actual transfer fee.

To me it’s a win win situation for Osimhen

Where do you get this narrative that Osimhen is free next summer?

If Napoli can accept 60 million from the Saudi boys, surely, Chelsea can easily afford that 60 Mil

It's not a straight 65m I believe, there are some add-ons that should raise it to 100m

Because of one match against wolves? grin

Osimhen improves the side, no doubt.
But he disrupts it.

You see the way Jackson was subbed off, you can't do that with a marquee striker.

With the amount of players they have in that position, a big-name will disrupt the squad.

Unpopular opinion:

Osimhen or any other marquee striker disrupts this Chelsea forward line.

As I earlier stated, he had no single shot from these dribbles because he had them too far from the opponent 18 yards. Even Iheanacho had a shot that was unbelievably saved by the Villareal goalkeeper, who was named MOTM.
But trust me, with what I saw in the few minutes Ejuke played, if he is given more game time, he will have alot of assist instead of goals this season, and the Sevilla fans seems to love him already
Middle of the pitch
More reasons why his passes should rake up

Iheanacho, a striker had 3 passes from 4 touches in 13 mins.

Ejuke a winger had 6 passes from 24 touches in 19 mins.

How?

Sugarboyy:

I watched the match
He was literally strolling passed the Villareal defenders
But I noticed something, after making these dribbles, he was always too in haste to cross the ball and he was making those dribbles too far from the 18 yards.
He should try and always play near the opponent 18 yards so that from these dribbles, he can score from some.

I'm desperate for a compilation clip. But the fact it's not coming says it all.

6 dribbles completed with zero shots, 1 chance created and only 6 successful passes is just pure egoistic football and non-existent teamwork.

He looked like he had rid himself off this in Friendlies.

I guess that's why he's being benched

I prefer Arsenal though.

And they are no fluke.
This Chelsea will cook.

This is it for Osimhen.
Only problem is with Nicholas Jackson, he will be subbed off a lot

Scored 75% of Genk's goals already this season.

4 goals in preseason.

Built exactly like Zlatan.

Tolu scores again.
3rd goal already.

Will this Mourinho finish the season at Fernabache like this.

UCL to be honest was a step too far for Fener.
They've not qualified since 2008.

And it would have only exposed how week the side was because Mourinho would have setup conservatively to get results.

The only good thing would have been the prize money.

As open as Galatasary played last season in the UCL, unbeaten against United. They still finished dead last in they group below Copenhagen.

But Fener in the Europa League got to the quarters and were only eliminated by the eventual winners.

In fact, Xabi Alonso was invincible last season because he didn't play in the UCL.
That top level football would have given some reality check and eventually derailed their league season.

So winning Turkey just their second UEFA Cup since 2000 is bigger for me than reaching the UCL.

But my grouse with current Mourinho is he never improves teams tactically, he just makes them mentality giants.

I don't think it has to do with Mourinho. Maybe a small part of it. Turkish people are very devoted fans to their league. A lot of them watch and follow their league passionately. Even before Mourinho their viewership has always been high, most of it coming from the local fan base. Turkish people generally are nationalistic to a fault

Nothing like that, brother.

There's no viewership like the EPL.

EPL is global, Superliga is just a country.

Either ways, a Manchester derby featuring the best striker in the world against the most popular club in the world shouldn't be getting less than Adana Demirspor
