So no one can slap Nwabali on the head.

You want to time waste, why make it so obvious

Lookman was still chasing at this point.

Time wasting by 60 mins?

I don't think I have disliked a Nigerian player like I do Nwabali

Osimhen has matured. Damn.

Osimhen has created at least four legendary clips from this Alanyaspor match alone.

That Instabul moving really doing him good

I never seen anyone dominate En Nesyri aerially like that

Mourinho coached nonsense today.

How can a team spam 45 crosses in 90 minutes?

Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheLoneCitizen(m): 8:14pm On Mar 06
Dessers has had two goals ruled out for offside tonight.

Both required lengthy VAR checks to be disallowed

Predicted in my head prematch that Dessers scores 2 and Fenerbahce 5-2.

Dessers got his numbers, wishing him a bad second half

COOL10:
Cyriel Dessers scores his Twenty-Second(22) goal of the season and has also grabbed his 9th assist of the season. He has now equaled his goal tally and also his assist tally for last season which made him the highest scoring Nigerian player in the whole of Europe last season.

22 goals and 9 assists (31 goal contributions) in back to back seasons.

What a player!!! 💪💥👏😎

Nah. This ain't the full story. You're not doing justice to his season.

Only 26 starts.

In both of his seasons in Scotland, Rangers fans have considered him a flop.

So these are flop numbers by their account.

Personally feel Man United is the best move.
Except they've swallowed too many talents

Osimhen and Gabriel telling Haaland to stay humble will be box office

Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheLoneCitizen(m): 11:03am On Mar 04
What an angle!!

So technically Chelsea is the worst move for Osimhen.

Sports / Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by TheLoneCitizen(m): 10:05am On Mar 04
Has there ever been a player who had this kind of opportunity to move to the three biggest clubs in England not just because he's good enough, or because he's affordable, but because they have no striker?

Even Haaland or Mbappé didn't have it easy like this

"Bet on yourself, if you know your value, don’t let others dictate your price."

Nah Osimhen didn't change my mind.
I only discovered that Osimhen demanded same salary as Nkunku and Chelsea said no.

TheLoneCitizen:
Looking back, Osimhen should have accepted the pay cut and moved to Chelsea since both were desperate for the move.

He has an awful agent.

Accept a low salary and demand high signing-on fee like 10m

And then appearance-related increment or goal bonus.

So that is 18m in first year
About 10m in second year.

That's how a Raiola or Jorge Mendes would have structured the deal.

I've seen the light now. Osimhen was right not to accept paycut.

WarHammer2000:
By the way, watching Fulham's last game reminded me of Iwobi's quality. Man is an excellent crosser and cuts back brilliantly.

If we had capable midfielders, I would have suggested we play him on the Right wing like we used to. His crosses and cutbacks from the wings will be perfect for Osimhen and Lookman. Chukwueze can't give you that, he prefers to attempt a dribble to cut in and shoot from his left foot which nine out of ten times, doesn't succeed.

I really think we are wasting Iwobi by forcing him to be a no. 10 or a no. 8.

PS: Bassey really impressed me with his ball-playing possession-football capabilities. Man is improving daily.

His best attribute is passing, he's skillful but a very poor dribbling.

The best attribute of winger is dribbling.

It's math brother.

Just deeped that Osimhen has subtly recruited United and Chelsea’s biggest Twitter influences Trey and Janty in preparation for that summer PR.

Flown them to Istanbul on several occasions.

Very shrewd.

PS: "recruit" here means allegiance not money.

Lookman, Aina and Eze all grew up in South London where you have a lot of Nigerians unlike Bassey who grew up in East London (Newham to be precise) with a lot of South Asian like Pakistani and Bangladeshi people. Same with those who grew up in North London E.g Saka and Nwaneri. They really don't have that Naija vibe like those who grew up in South specifically South east where we have the highest Nigerian community.

is this laced with any tinge of ethnic nationalism. All the players born home or diaspora are Nigerian as long as they got Nigerian heritage

I don't even see in ethnicism or have any such discrimination.

It's a lighthearted point-out which SUBZERO attested to.

Lol I don't even get that special joy I get when I see a Nigerian in the scoresheet, maybe because he's an init boy

Lookman, Aina are London boys, but they still ooze Nigerianness.

Even Eze seems more Nigerian than him.

A bit is being mild. Stinking out that left-wing

Throughout his career, he has huge complacency issues.

Make him comfortable and he regresses.
