2. What's LONG and SHORT, is it the same we buy and sell respectively?

1. In spot, even if the coin you're holding goes down, any day it rises again, you're most likely going to recover your money/loses.

But In Futures, the reverse is the case. it's either you gain or you lose (any money lost in Futures, is gone forever).

2. Long and Short is same as buying and selling. Just that in Futures, either you buy or sell (Long or Short), you'll make profits or loss. Meaning: if you know the prices of a token will go up, you buy Long. And if goes your way, you'll be in gains. But if it goes otherwise, you'll be at loss (same applies to Short position).

Thank you Boss Ilegendd for this wonderful thread. After reading more than two times and with what I've learned, I don't know if I should start crying for the coins in my portfolio or should just vex, sell off everything.

But it's all good. At least with this (knowledge), I've got a glimpse of what's most likely going to happen to them and when to cut my losses and possibly move on to a better one.
