The Independent National Electoral Commission has presented the Certificates of Return to the winner of the 2023 presidential election held on February 25, Bola Tinubu, and his vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.

The presentation of the CoR was done by the chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, Wednesday afternoon at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, venue of the presidential election results collation.

2023: South-South PDP Youth Presidential Campaign Council Meets In Asaba, Inaugurates Members To Campaign For Atiku/Okowa



The executives and leaders of the People's Democratic Party National Youth Presidential Campaign Council South-South zone, have recently converged in Asaba the Delta State Capital to officially inaugurate Members and kick-start the State to State Campaign where youth leaders from various communities and wards across the South-South States would be engaged to amplify the goal of delivering the Atiku/Okowa mandate come 2023.


In his opening remarks the PDP Delta State Youth Leader and host of the event, Hon. Egbo Victor welcomed the State Cordinators and delegation from the various South-South States urging the Delta State Youth leaders in attendance to take a queue from the determination exhibited by all who took the pains of visiting from various States just to reassure Deltans that they'll continue to promote the ideals and plans of The Presidential Candidate Alh. Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Dr Ifeanyi okowa to all and sundry.

He said he was confident that with all the State Governor had done in terms of human capital development, successful youth empowerment initiatives, and infrastructural upgrade in the state, that Delta Youths would give a hundred percent vote to Atiku and Okowa while also pledging N10million to any State in the South-South that can top the votes of Deltans.
The Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Rivers and Delta State Youth Cordinators of the NYPCC took turns to reel out the various plans they have for their States to ensure everyone in the grassroot is carried along and ready with thier permanent Voters Cards to vote PDP in 2023 while also accepting the challenge to top the Delta State Votes in the elections.
The Commissioner for Youth development Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga and his counterpart Commissioner for Education Mr. Chiedu Ebie who also welcomed the delegation and charged all present not to be deterred by the manipulations of the opposition but rather be steadfast in the determination to save Nigeria from the myriads of challenges currently bedeviling the Nation and that it behoves the youths to achieve the change we want to see come 2023.



The Zonal Cordinator of the National Youth Presidential Campaign Council South-South Barr. Lloyd Owonaro thanked the host and the Delta State youth leaders in various capacities who were in attendance for the reception and deemed it fit to be present at the inaugural tour of the South-South NYPCC, reiterating also the crucial role youths in Nigeria play in determining the outcome of the 2023 elections encouraging everyone to reverberate the message of voting in PDP for economic development, end to insecurity, end to incessant strike actions by University lecturers, end to the seemingly soaring inflation among others.

He thanked the governor of Delta State Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for the visible strides in the state which gives us the confident that he'll replicate same when he emerges Vice president in 2023.
Barr. Owonaro concluded the event with the appointment of Comrade Orode Uduaghan as the Zonal female coordinator who will champion the sensitization and Mobilisation of women at all levels for a robust campaign.

He also announced Akwa Ibom as the next State for the tour however a date would be communicated.

Lagos: MSSN Alagbado Trains Muslim Women On Business Building, Exposes Them To Global Opportunities


The sisters' circle of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Alagbado Central Branch in Lagos state has trained scores of Muslim women on how to grow vehemently on their businesses.

The programme tagged 'Global opportunities' which was held on Sunday, November 20th, 2022 at Meiran Estate Central Mosque was full of positive life changing experiences for all participants.


Our correspondent reports that the program shows spiritual filled, thought provoking and highly educative lectures that span through entrepreneurship, business and global opportunities for all participants.


While addressing the participants at the program, the Amirah of MSSN Alagbado Central Branch, Mrs. Ganiyat Arogundade said the program is meant to empower Muslim women and exposed them to global opportunities which include accessing grants, digital market opportunities and taking their businesses to the world.


She added that the program is also aimed to eradicate the issue of poverty and train the Muslim women on business capacity and expose them to global opportunities.


She added, 'This is our forth edition of this program. Over the years, we have people that have become expect digital marketing, won scholarship and have a lot of people that have benefitted from the program. Just like the theme of the program, we want to empower the Muslim women in order for them to serve value to people globally."

One of the guest lecturers of the event, Hajia Husaynah Opeyifa explained to the participants on how they can make their businesses grow globally and render services as freelancers and agencies.

Corroborating, another guest lecturer of the event, Mrs. Aderinsola Adepoji also exposed the participants on the need to make their businesses thrive for the betterment of themselves and the society.

A renowned entrepreneur and public servant, Mrs. Muftiat Adesina said the program was an eyeopener for the Muslim women.

She described women as significant part of any economy that need to be empowered with global opportunities.

A board member of MSSN Ojokoro Area Council, Mrs. Rukiyyah Ibikunle said the program exposed many Muslim sisters to opportunity around the world. She said the program has helped to transform the Muslim sisters positively.

THE NATION REPORTERS reports that there was confusion in Osogbo on Monday morning as a man simply identified as Oladeji Saheed, jumped into Osun river.


It was learnt that the man has tried to commit suicide three times by jumping into the Osun River on Gbongan/Osogbo road around 7 am.


It was gathered that the man lives alone without family, and friends, beside the Osun river in Osogbo.


The man was rescued this morning with help from residents of Osun Ambulance and Osun state Fire service.


This is coming after a few days when a young lady, jumped into Osun river after reportedly receiving a phone call.

The lady, whose identity was unknown as at the time of the incident around 4:00pm, was said to have boarded a motorcycle to Gbodofon Bridge along Osogbo-Gbongan road, had a conversation over the phone with someone before jumping into the river.

Eyewitnesses said the victim was aged between 18 and 21, adding that she dropped her phone inside her purse on the river bank before jumping into the river.

It was gathered that the passer-by who saw the lady approaching the bridge had raised the alarm immediately she jumped into it and made efforts to rescue her but to no avail.

Some of the rescuers had phoned the state fire fighters in Osogbo who visited the river with their operational vehicles after some minutes. After minutes of searching, they could not find the victim.


As of the time of filing this report, the man is receiving medical attention.

THE NATION REPORTERS reports that fast rising Nigerian artiste, Habeeb Okikiola with the stage name Portable has openly endorsed a presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 general election.


The singer who recently shot a music video for his latest song ‘Aza Man’ took to his Instagram page to disclose the amount of money he spent on shooting the video.




Portable revealed that the music video which was shot in France cost him almost 20 million naira.

He opened up on receiving financial support from notable personalities such as MC Oluomo, and Seyi Tinubu, the son of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.


He went on to call Tinubu the next president of the country.

Portable concluded by urging netizens to watch out for the impressive video.
