Throwback to When Omoluabi Progressives Membership Card Was Issued To The leaders It was a defining moment in the history of Osun politics when the leadership of the Omoluabi Progressives, led by Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, officially issued membership cards to key leaders of the caucus. That day marked the consolidation of a movement built on progressive ideals, unity, and unwavering commitment to reclaiming Osun for the people. The issuance of the membership cards was not just a symbolic gesture, it was a testament to the growing strength of Omoluabi Progressives. Following a successful local government tour, the mobilization efforts gained momentum, proving that the movement was not just an alternative but the future of progressive leadership in Osun State. From every ward across Osun, loyal supporters reaffirmed their dedication, making it clear that the Omoluabi Progressives is a force to be reckoned with. The road to 2026 is clear, and our mission remains unshaken; by God's grace, we will restore Osun to true progressive governance. Those who doubted us can now see that we are here to stay. We will continue to attract quality individuals who share our vision, and together, we will achieve victory.

He was not paying salaries? Were you the one paying workers' salary then? He took loans? He embezzled it or used it for Osun project? Just be making irrelevant noise. Why hasn't EFCC invited him? Show us if any Governor in Osun can beat Aregbesola's reach jkpbestseries: |
No matter where Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola goes in Osun State, the excitement and love from the people are undeniable. Whether it’s a public function or just a casual visit, we see how the people, young and old, rush to greet him, chant his name, and celebrate his presence. Videos, pictures, and testimonies flood the internet, showing how much the people of Osun still admire and respect him. This is not just because he was a former governor; it’s because of his undeniable impact on Osun and the loyalty he has built over the years. Despite this, Aregbesola was unfairly treated by the same APC he helped build from scratch in Osun. This is the party he nurtured from 2003 when Baba Bisi Akande lost his re-election bid. He worked tirelessly, alongside other progressives, to bring the party back to power in 2010, sustaining it for over a decade. Yet, those who benefited the most from his efforts turned against him, sidelined his supporters, and waged an internal war against him. The injustice meted out against him and the loyal progressives who stood by him is well-documented. Politics is local, and in Osun, we, the Omoluabi Caucus, are deeply rooted in every ward, every local government, and every senatorial district. Our monthly meetings across the state continue to prove our strength and unity. We are not just an ordinary group; we are a formidable political movement with structures on the ground, loyal members, and a clear vision. If anyone thinks we are politically irrelevant, they are deceiving themselves. Now that we have left the APC, there is no going back. We are not ready to wine and dine with the same people who betrayed Aregbesola and his loyalists. Where Aregbesola goes, we go. It is time we form a third force in Osun politics. With our grassroots structure, the love of the people, and Aregbesola’s unwavering popularity, we have everything needed to challenge the existing political order. The recent events where many of our supporters publicly burnt their APC membership cards show that we have moved on. There is no future for true progressives in APC anymore. We must channel our strength into something new, something that truly represents our ideals, our struggles, and our commitment to good governance. The time for a third force is now. Aregbesola remains the most popular politician in Osun, and with his leadership, we can build a movement that will shake the foundations of Osun politics. We are not just followers, we are believers in a cause. And we are ready. Theniceguy

You're a liar. Show us where people are being flogged in Ilorin. Show us bloody liar. Besides, how's this your concern? When did you become Yoruba proeast: |
I posted this earlier but was deleted by Nairaland though it violated no rule but because of deep-seated hate the forum have for Islam. If it were to be twisted thread against Islam/Muslim/the Shari'ah, the forum would gladly keep it and move it to front page. That's the hypocrisy The call for the establishment of a Shari’ah panel or court in Yorubaland is not a new demand; rather, it is a legitimate right of Muslims, deeply rooted in both historical and constitutional grounds. No one has the authority to dictate for Muslims how they should practice their religion, and any opposition to Shari’ah within the Muslim community itself is either born out of ignorance, hypocrisy, or outright criminal intent. Nigeria is a multi-religious country with a constitution that upholds freedom of religion (Section 38 of the Nigerian Constitution). Muslims have the right to practice their faith in accordance with Islamic teachings. Shari’ah is not a threat to anyone, it is a system of justice for Muslims who willingly submit to its rulings. Historical Presence of Shari’ah in Yorubaland Contrary to what some claim, Shari’ah is not foreign to Yorubaland. Before the colonial era, many Yoruba Muslim communities practiced Islamic law to settle disputes, particularly in personal and family matters such as marriage, inheritance, and business ethics. The strongest opposition to Shari’ah courts often comes from fake Muslims and criminals who fear that Islamic justice will expose their corruption, fraud, and moral decay. Genuine Muslims who understand the role of Shari’ah would never oppose a system that enforces justice, morality, and accountability before Allah. Those who claim to be Muslims yet fight against Islamic law should question their own faith and sincerity. Shari’ah Is for Muslims, Not for Non-Muslims It is important to clarify that Shari’ah courts are not meant to impose Islamic laws on non-Muslims. They exist to serve Muslims who willingly submit to them in personal and civil matters. The demand for a Shari’ah panel or court in Yorubaland is a non-negotiable right for Muslims. It is part of religious freedom, historical practice, and a means of ensuring justice among Muslims. Anyone who fights against this right, especially from within the Muslim community, should deeply reflect on their faith and intentions. True Muslims know that Shari’ah is justice, and justice is the foundation of any righteous society. If this offends you, feel free to insult, abuse, or curse me all you want, it won’t change the fact that this is my right as a Muslim, and I will continue to advocate for it unapologetically. Your insults won’t shake my belief, nor will they silence me. |
Hypocrite. Seems you can't read or can't comprehend. middlebelter: |
Seun your platform is a threat to Muslim voice. |
It is no longer news that Nairaland has a deep-seated bias against Muslims, but deleting a thread that simply advocated for the rightful establishment of a Shari’ah panel in Yorubaland within just three hours is a new low. This is clear evidence that Nairaland is actively suppressing Muslim voices and waging war against Islam under the guise of moderation. What Was My Offense? All I did was express a legitimate opinion, that Muslims in Yorubaland have the right to establish Shari’ah courts for personal and civil matters. This is a constitutionally guaranteed right under religious freedom, yet Nairaland chose to silence me. Why? Because I am a Muslim advocating for my faith? Was there a rule the thread violated? If my post had been promoting an anti-Islamic agenda or attacking Shari’ah, Nairaland would have left it untouched. We see threads insulting Islam, misrepresenting Shari’ah, and spreading false narratives about Muslims being freely allowed. But when a Muslim boldly stands up for his rights, Nairaland rushes to delete the post. This is not moderation; this is oppression. Nairaland’s Hypocrisy Exposed Christian and anti-Muslim posts get to thrive on the forum unchecked. Muslim voices are muted the moment they advocate for their religious rights. Hate speech against Muslims is tolerated, while any firm Islamic stance is immediately taken down. This is not the first time, and it won’t be the last. Nairaland has made it clear that it does not want Muslims to speak up for their faith, especially when it involves calling for justice and the implementation of Islamic values. Deleting my post will not stop me or other Muslims from advocating for our rights. You can try to censor us online, but you cannot erase the truth. We will continue to demand what is rightfully ours, and we will expose every platform that tries to suppress Islam under the pretense of neutrality. To the Muslims on Nairaland, take note of this double standard. Your faith is under attack on a platform that claims to be for all Nigerians, but in reality, it is a battleground where Islamic voices are being silenced. Enough is enough. |
