A man accused of torturing his girlfriend’s 8-year-old son to death did so because he thought the child was gay.

32-year-old Isauro Aguirre, of Palmdale, California, has been charged with the murder of 8-year-old Gabriel Fernandez with a special circumstance of torture. The boy’s mother, Pearl Fernandez, also faces trial.

During opening statements on Monday (October 16), Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office prosecutor on Jon Hatami detailed the horrific abuse allegedly carried out by the couple.

Hatami explained that Aguirre and Fernandez beat and bit Gabriel, burned him with cigarettes, shot him with a B.B. gun, whipped him, starved him, fed him cat litter, and kept him gagged and bound before he was discovered on May 22, 2013.

The couple had called the emergency services that treated Gabriel, but only in an attempt to cover up their crimes, the prosecutor said.

“They didn’t call 911 to help Gabriel. They called 911 to cover up what they did,” he said. “The defendant lied on the 911 call.”

Gabriel was hospitalised and died two days later.

The prosecutor also said that Aguirre forced Gabriel to dress in girls’ clothes before going to school, and did not like the child because he believed he was gay.

“Gabriel’s last vision was that man over there standing over Gabriel, beating him to death,” Hatami said.

“The evidence will show that the defendant is nothing more than a bully,” Hatami said. “He was a security guard who intentionally tortured and abused a helpless and innocent little boy.”

First of all, where did we get all this ideology from? who is our role model? As far as I am concerned, the Jesus I know will never do this. Are we really following after Jesus, seeking  him and his righteousness or we are after the things of the world which are here today and tomorrow gone?



I now believe Jesus is really weeping over the life of so many christian leaders today.

Based on the post shared by Omojuwa, Gov Rochas actually replied the tweet and deleted it later. Here is what Omojuwa said in  his tweet.

Limora Williams, 24 from Atlanta has been charged with murder after she was reported to have allegedly put her two sons in an oven and turned it on sometime between Thursday and Friday last week. 

The police however reported that the two sons, Ja'Karter Penn (1 Year) and Ke-Yaunte (2 years) had several injuries including burns which must have led to their death.

At first, the accused told the police that she left the kids in the care of a relative only for a search to reveal that they were locked up in an oven which was turned on. 

The father of the children told the police that his wife had called him on Friday night to inform him about the death of his children. 



What Could have possibly led to this? Is it that she was mentally unstable or what?

A Chinese museum decided to once again step on the toes of Africans online by opening an exhibition where Africans were displayed alongside with animals.

The video in question was posted by an Instagram user Edward E. Duke (a Nigerian) who revealed Chinese art lovers admiring the seemingly racist exhibition where the Africans were displayed together with wild animals at the Hubei Provincial Museum in Wuhan ahead of the national Golden Week holiday.

Based on local destination blog Shangalist, 'This is Africa' exhibition which started September 28 belongs to Chinese photographer Yu Hulping which was aimed at giving visitors a sense of primitive life lived in Africa through the interplay of humans, animals and nature.

The original video was deleted after it was posted by one of the supposed visitors to the museum with the caption : “首都博物馆 translated as "the capital museum in Wuhan, China put pictures of a particular race next to wild animals why? Are they the only race to have impoverished looking.”

This was followed by a backlash of a Facebook advert by Dove which showed a black model turning white after using their body wash. Dove later apologized for missing the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully.

The black model in question said it was taken out of context because the initial agreement of the campaign was to be about all the skin types deserving gentleness.
