Hi Everyone
Just wanted to say that I finally got my study visa and I am currently in Cape Town.
The whole process was just a miracle cos I applied 9th November 2023 and got a rejection on the 29th of Jan 2024, I reapplied immediately on the 6th of February and after 5 days, I was called to submit my passport for visa.

Thanks to everyone that keep responding to questions here, May God bless you all.

P.S: someone asked here if they require a return ticket for study visa applicants, I had a one way ticket and no one asked me for my return ticket, all they were asked me for was my yellow fever card and admission letter.

I didn't know they charge visa fee differently for each category.
I was charged 37k for my study visa application

I just put in application two days ago and that was what i was charged..
Mine is study(long term) though, thats probably why

Sticker Visa fee is now #37000 plus vfs service fee 29400 plus courier fee depending on your zone..

That Appeal is just a complete waste of time, I was denied february 2023, I put appeal immediately...till today I never hear anything.

Vfs said its completely out of their hands, that its upto the embassy to contact me when its out..

I applied for a year visa on the 14th July, 2023 for research and the checklist use for me was visitors exceeding 3 months checklist. I even called VFS when I was gathering my documents to ask if I need medical aid cover and they told me no... I don't need medical aid cover for this category of visa application. To my greatest surprise, my visa was denied on that ground. 'No medical aid cover attached". VFS PH called VFS Lagos to ask the reason for the denial when medical aid wasn't a requirement for visitors exceeding 3 months, they said... it was just a recently development (last month).

Now, they adjudicated my application submitted since July with a recent checklist ( they haven't even published it on their site).

I was told to appeal... Please, does appeal really work?

Goodafternoon everyone,

I have 2 questions about the medicals, first, can i go to any government hospital in any state and get it or just goverment hospitals in lagos?

Secondly, do i need any other medical letter from the hospital apart from the medical form downloaded from the VFS site that has to be signed and stamped...

Please I need a good explanation...thanks🙏

Wow so sorry about that, seems you applied directly using dha, I applied through vfs and made the exact same mistake, they had to notify me to provide a clear statement that has every page stamped and signed. I had to reupload the one I got from my bank...

I just got my decision and my Visa was rejected because my account statement was not certified(I printed it from my mobile app) and I was asked to make a representation within 10 days.

Should I go ahead and make the appeal or make a new application?

Please guys, I just got a message from VFS about my processed visa.I applied 22nd of November. I'm kinda confused now how to know my decision. They wrote it has been dispatched to a courier service provider, those that have gotten theirs....abeg someone enlighten me on the whole process.
Will the courier come with the sticker visa if the application is successful?
